Lorne Bowman II 6’2, Orchard Lake St. Mary’s
Bowman had a strong performance last night in his first game of his senior season. The Wisconsin commit led the team with 19 points as one of the state’s top-ranked teams defeated Detroit Denby 62-16. The 6’2 guard’s value comes on both ends of the floor, Bowman routinely draws the best player on the opposing team and uses his excellent feel for the game to create for his team.
Julian Roper Jr 6’4, Orchard Lake St. Mary’s
Roper is an ultimate glue guy on a team full of stars. The junior does a little bit of everything for St. Mary’s. The 6’4 guard is 2nd in scoring on the team Roper possesses defensive versatility for the program he uses length and athleticism to guard all 5 positions and is not afraid to do all the dirty work. The junior is heading towards an amazing season this year for St. Mary’s.
Kevonne Taylor 6’9, Detroit Denby
Taylor is a very athletic big who can step out and knock down the mid-range on a consistent basis. Where his strengths lie are with his quick jump and long arms as well as his ability to play above the rim. He is a pretty solid shot-blocker finishing with 4 points, and a handful of blocks trying to guide Denby’s defense against St. Mary’s.
Marquise Bridges 5’10, Detroit Denby
Bridges showed improvement in game one of this season, possibly as his team’s top defender. Bridges is a very scrappy defender that will guard you 94 feet, Tuesday night Bridges showed lockdown defense keeping St. Mary’s top tier guard out of double digits as he did all the dirty work for Detroit Denby. Bridges finished with 4 points, and 4 steals in Tuesday nights matchup.
