NOAH BATCHELOR | 6’6 F | GLENELG COUNTRY ’22
Batchelor is quickly establishing a reputation as one of the best shot makers in the area. He is a catch and shoot specialist who showed that he’s also capable of hitting from mid-range off one or two dribbles. An underrated part of Batchelor’s game could be how hard he plays. He is an elite competitor who gets up for every game regardless of the opponent.
NOAH CHARLES | 6’0 G | GLENELG COUNTRY ’20
As the vocal leader of his team, Charles played a vital role in helping Glenelg Country pick up a key road win. He was constantly heard instructing his teammates throughout the game and making sure everyone was on the same page. As per usual, Charles looked to get downhill aggressively and made good decisions with the ball in his hands.
RYAN CORNISH | 6’3 G | SIDWELL FRIENDS ’21
One of the main takeaways about Cornish’s performance on Sunday was that he is a wizard with the ball in his hands. He keeps it on a string and is very adept at handling the ball in close quarters. Cornish led Sidwell in scoring but also found many other ways to contribute. He rebounded, dove on the floor to fight for 50/50’s, and recognized mismatches whenever they occurred.
GUY FAUNTLEROY | 6’0 G | RIVERDALE BAPTIST ’21
Fauntleroy set the tone for Riverdale on the defensive end. He stymied opposing ball-handlers with his relentless pressure and quickness. Offensively, Fauntleroy got into the paint at will and was rewarded with several free throw attempts. He also showed that he is more than capable of finishing in traffic and loves seeking contact.
DAYYAN NOBLE | 6’1 G | GERSTELL ’21
Noble showed good scoring prowess against a good defensive team in Sidwell. He moved well without the ball and showcased good touch in the mid-range areas where he utilized his floater effectively. Noble also showed that he was capable of making shots from behind the arc off the bounce.
WES PETERSON JR. | 6’5 W | O’CONNELL ’21
Peterson was a constant two-way threat for O’Connell. He scored from all three levels, attacked the basket in transition, and embraced contact at the rim. Peterson also did his due diligence defensively where he was active and alert throughout the game.
ERIK REYNOLDS | 6’3 G | BULLIS ’21
Reynolds saw a spike in usage as a result of the absence of Rodney Rice and showed good aggression on the offensive end. He scored in various ways but also competed on the defensive end. Reynolds rebounded out of his area and played with a high motor.
THOMAS WEAVER | 5’8 G | RIVERDALE BAPTIST ’20
Weaver was lights out on Sunday in a matchup against his former school. He did not miss from behind the arc, netting all four of his attempts. Weaver also mixed it up nicely by getting into the lane and showing that he can score with either hand.
