2021 6’0 Guy Fauntleroy | Riverdale Baptist
We consider the backcourt of Guy and Devon Savage to be one of the better ones in the DMV and that was shown on Saturday in Riverdale’s win on Saturday against Coolidge. Guy has gotten stronger and that was quite noticeable on Saturday and also allowed him to absorb contact. He got to the foul line at will where he attempted 15 free throws and connecting on 11 of them. He finished with a total of 19 points and took home MVP honors for Riverdale.
2021 6’7 Zaakir Williamson | Rock Creek Christian
For some reason I feel like Zaakir Williamson might not be getting talked about as much as he should be. The junior big man finished with 24 points and 8 rebounds in a win for Rock Creek. Williamson showed his skill set he has around the rim and was efficient shooting the basketball where he finished 8/12 from the field. He was also efficient at the free throw line going 8/9 from the charity stripe. Williamson is someone that is very hard to stop with the ball in his hands when he is around the rim due to the fact that he is so much stronger than a lot of his opposition.
2020 6’5 Dimingus Stevens | Bishop Walsh (Seton Hall Commit)
In a losing effort against Word Of God, Seton Hall commit, Dimingus Stevens, did all he could do to help Bishop Walsh come away with a win. Known for his shooting, Steven’s hit 6 three pointers in the game and finished shooting 58% from the field after going 7/12. Stevens will be a problem shooting the basketball at the next level in the Big East.
2020 6’2 Jeremy Roach | Paul VI (Duke Commit)
Roach is officially back for PVI and that is a bad sign for the rest of the WCAC and other teams on the Panthers schedule. In my first look at Roach since his ACL injury, he looked as good as ever and showed the burst he always had before his injury. He was the catalyst on both ends of the ball this past Saturday and was setting the tone for PVI. Roach is looking to be one of the best point guards in all of college as soon as he steps foot on Duke next year.
2021 6’4 Trevor Keels | Paul VI
Nobody locally and nationally made a bigger name for himself than Trevor did this past weekend at DeMatha. In my evaluation of him on Saturday, the 2021 prospect finished with 25 points and broke the game open for PVI late in the 2nd half to upset IMG. Keels has slimmed down and can tell he has the utmost confidence in his jumper. Keels is currently playing his best basketball.
