Bedford North Lawrence:
Brayton Bailey – 2020 PG/SG: Bailey played a real consistent game on Friday. Had 18 points and most of them were either baseline drives or And 1s for the most part. Always enjoy watching him when his play is controlled and smart like it was Friday. Bailey continues to have a great senior season.
Southport:
Brevin Jefferson – 6’2 2020 PG: Jefferson showed off his skill-set in the contest against Greensburg. He had couple nice baskets and a few rebounds on the day. Jefferson plays at a very controlled pace but can explode when he needs to along with his great hops.
Matt Munzo – 6’6 2020 C: I am very high on Munzo’s play. He had a nice spin move and a couple tip-ins. For being a big man he has real nice motor. He plays hard every possession and goes after the ball after every shot. That big body is hard to guard down low.
Greensburg:
Andrew Welage – 6’4 2020 SF: Welage is a long player that is pretty quick and has good handles for his size. He has a really nice right-handed layup and is good on the fastbreak. To add to that he has a natural jumper as well. Just need to add some muscle to his frame.
Brownsburg:
Malek Edmonds – 6’6 2020 PF: Edmonds plays like a mature big man. He has a real disciplined manner to his style of play. He had a good cut to the basket that ended up with a strong left-handed layup. Edmonds uses his big body well.
Connor Lucas – 6’0 2020 SG: Lucas runs the floor very well like a shooting guard should. He has a nice floater to his game that he uses often and should continue to use. When open he can knock down a shot from anywhere to mid-range or behind the arc.
Heritage Hills:
Murray Becher – 6’4 2020 SF: Becher had a great showing at Forum with dropping 13 points and adding 6 strong rebounds. He takes it to the rim on the right side really well for the most part. He had a nice steal that resulted into a layup in transition as well. Becher plays hard every minute of the game and that is a good thing to watch.
Hamilton Southeastern:
Mabor Majak – 7’1 2020 C: Not much to report here about Majak other than he is obviously one of the best big men in the 2020 class. He had tons of rebounds on the day and is a good post up scorer. Majak will be a scary big man once he adds some more muscle.
Kole Hornbuckle – 6’4 2020 SF: Hornbuckle shot a fantastic 6/9 and was 1/1 out of three pointers taken. Other than shooting it very well, he also takes it to the basket strongly. Besides that, he had a couple nice assists and good basket in transitions. He runs the floor really well.
Evansville Reitz:
Mar’Quan Givens – 5’11 2020 PG: Givens is a bull of a guard with good jump shot. He bullies his way against the smaller defenders and helps creates open looks for him. Very impressed with his play.
Bloomington South:
Anthony Leal – 6’5 2020 SG: Leal had another solid performance at Forum. Shot the ball pretty well and made some good plays down the stretch. Leal continues his pursuit for Mr. Basketball and a 4A State Championship.
Noah Jagger – 5’9 2020 PG: Jager is a true floor general in every since of the phrase. He knows what is going to help his team win. He did some great things against Culver like causing some turnovers, had some rebounds, and made a couple of easy layups.
James Bomba – 6’5 2020 PF: Bomba causes a lot of trouble in the paint for his opponents because of his massive size and strength. He grabbed a lot boards against Culver and matched up pretty well against Culver’s Nick Hittle. Bomba proving how important he is to South’s success.
Culver Academy:
Nick Hittle – 6’9 2020 C: Nick Hittle was the main man for Culver on Saturday against Bloomington South as Trey Galloway was inactive. Hittle does good things with the ball like how he can pass it from the post to get an open look. He uses his strong body to get rebounds and takes care of post needs on both ends.
