Dashiel Walker – Centaurus – 6’3” – Guard/Forward
Dashiel is a well-rounded hustle player who excels in the Wing position. He is skilled enough to pull up and shoot from various spots. He also knows how to use his size to create lanes in order to finish at the rim. Dashiel has the height to block shots and win rebounds when on defense. Whether on offense or defense, Walker is an absolute standout.
Jalen Weaver – Smoky Hill – 6’4” – Guard
No list of 2021 players is complete without mentioning Jalen. He’s averaging 19 points a game. He has scored over 20 points in four games in a row this season. With 24 assists and 37 rebounds this season, Jalen is consistently proving why he deserves to be considered as one of the top players in the state.
Greg Gerhardt – Monarch – 6’10” – Center
Add his talent with his size and Greg reminds you what a true “Big Man” looks like. He is capable of using his strength in order to dominate any opponent. He also has the skillset that enables him to be the top scorer for his team when needed. Greg is hard to miss, which is why it’s important to keep an eye on him.
Drake Arthur – Boulder – 6’1” – Guard
Drake is that player that outworks everyone at being a “Jack of all trades,” which is what he seems to master. He brings a high-energy mentality to both sides of the ball. Capable of using his frame to create plays on offense, while disrupting them on defense. Easily one of the hardest working players on the court, Drake is the embodiment of the “blue collar” individual.
Mario Everett – Centaurus – 6’0” – Point Guard
Mario brings an excitingly motivating energy whenever he is on the court. He is a true floor general who leads by doing. Making 81% of free-throws and averaging 11.4 points, 4.1 assists, and 3.6 rebounds a game makes Mario a definite asset.
Dylan Carter – Chatfield – 5’9” – Guard
Dylan is a definite scorer. He is leading his team with 122 points on the season so far. He is a hustle player who can create turnovers, as well as win rebounds. Dylan is building a strong reputation for himself as a Wing player.
Adam Keelick – Arvada – 5’10” – Guard
Adam is a vocal floor general who knows the importance of staying hyped. His energy is high nonstop, which makes him standout. On defense, he moves so quickly that opponents have no time to set up. On offense, he is great at setting his teammates up for success and scoring when needed. Adam is starting to look like a real sleeper.
Julian Hammond III – Cherry Creek – 6’2” – Guard
Julian is another player who cannot be left off of this list. The 2019 State winning Quarterback has flawlessly switched from the gridiron to the hardwood. He is averaging 20 points a game while shooting 92% from the free-throw line, proving that he is still one of the best guards in the state. Julian is a true leader who is no stranger to pressured moments.
