For Dickinson Marcus Williams shot the lights out throughout the game. Whether off the dribble or in a catch and shoot situation the 6-2 senior, lets it fly without care. His five connections from deep gave him the MVP nod. His combination of quickness and shooting were unmatched.
Gator forward Jabari Miller brings the muscle to their frontcourt. At 6-5 Miller has the ability to give you double-digit production in every category you need. His do it all stat lines entrench him as the type of Swiss Army knife that will excel at the next level.
Senior Deuce Guidry fits squarely in that tough floor general role so many top point guards fill. Guidry’s pace and quick first step make him a tough cover allowing him to get to the paint in a block of an eye. From there he has the IQ to make plays whether that’s hitting a floater or passing to a cutting teammate. What he does on the defensive end is really impressive as his feet can match up with ball handlers while staying on their hip.
Allen‘s Ian Motta seemed to be all over the court. He drained threes, came up with the defensive stop, and grabbed rebounds. This is the performance that hints to a break out senior year.
Allen’s Bryce Kennedy played with all the toughness in the world. He competed with Dickinson’s size and athleticism at every turn. He proved to be a physical defender and a high energy contributor even when plays aren’t called for him.
