The Boys Metro Holiday Tournament is underway and the first game of the day was 4 seed Bellevue West versus 13 seed Omaha Benson. After a slow start from Bellevue West, the thunderbirds were able to fight back for a 67-57 win. The second game of the morning was 5 seed Creighton Prep versus 12 seed Gretna. Creighton Prep came out hot and gave Gretna problem with their full court Press. The Bluejays topped the Dragons, 65-48. Here are the 9 players that impressed from the morning slate of games.

Chucky Hepburn - 6’1 Point Guard - Class of 2021

After missing a few games with a concussion, Chucky Hepburn was back on the court looking like himself and leading the Thunderbirds to a late comeback win. Early in the game, Chucky was getting shots to fall; hitting a smooth step back jumper and making the defense pay by knocking down threes when they went under ball-screens. In the second half, he sped the game up by making ball handlers uncomfortable and forcing turnovers that let him and his teammates get out in transitions.
