With a team that shoots the ball as well as they do it has been a uncharacteristic start. Then you look at their schedule and realize they have actually played some really tough teams.
6’3 F Ben Sanders Wasatch High School
Ben is averaging 11 points per game and 4 rebounds but had himself a big night against Farmington as he was able to put up a huge 29 points. This could not only spark Ben’s confidence but the team as well as they head into the easier part of their schedule.
Farmington was one of the top ranked teams in 5A previously. They now fall to 4-2 on the year.
Utah Elite 8
As one of the best tournaments in the state of Utah with hand choose teams that are usually quite successful last nights opening day did not disappoint.
Teams:
American Fork
Bingham
Bountiful
Corner Canyon
Fremont
Herriman
Sky View
Timpview
Corner Canyon vs. Fremont
The field is impressive like always with 6A-4A (American Fork, Corner Canyon and Sky View) defending State Champions all in the field.
Fremont is one of the favorites in 6A this year will face Corner Canyon in Day 2.
Corner Canyon had their way with Sky View as they coasted but it should be a great battle with Fremont and a test for Corner Canyons guards.
This could also be a platform for 6’8 F Carter Welling to continue to shine.
Fremont face a tough Herriman team and was able to finish that game strong.

American Fork vs. Bingham
American Fork has struggled early but got it going against Timpview. One impressive aspect of their win last night is holding Coleman Ford to 5 points.
Noah Moeaki had a great game as he scored 17 points. Kid is only a sophomore with Division 1 football offers and it won’t be long before he adds some basketball ones as well.
Bingham looked like they were going to give up a big run to Bountiful as they didn’t have much of an answer to Robert Whaley but Tyler West and Ethan Langston had great games.
Ex-Region foes meet again for a birth to the final in the Utah Elite 8.
