Paul Burris (2020) | 6-6 PF | Delaware Hayes
Hayes is off to a not so good start this season, facing a couple solid teams thus far. But, the senior Ashland commit has been a do-it-all player for the Pacers. We watched Burris to open the season and he showed off an improved face up game as well as his scoring around the rim. Spot up shooter that can stretch the floor, will fit really well at Ashland. A player that is going to see a big boost in production from his junior season because of the need. Has a 26 point outing already and that season high will definitely go up.
Bilal Sow (2020) | 6-4 PF | Canal Winchester
Canal Winchester likely isn’t as good as they were last year and could rely more on Sow this season. That showed in their first couple games where he went over 20 points in both. We were able to watch Sow quite a bit this summer and he impressed with physicality and ability to step out and knockdown shots, while being that same force inside.
Carter Jones (2021) | 6-5 WF | Centerburg
One things for certain and that’s Carter Jones is one of the best small school forwards in Central Ohio. We’ve seen him quite a bit between high school and AAU ball and he seems to keep improving. Through three games this season the junior is averaging over 20 points a night. Simply a tough matchup for anyone in the KMAC as he’s the leagues best player. Jones is becoming more of a versatile forward that can simply pound teams low, but can step out and face it up too. Excited to keep seeing him improve his game.
Luke Lachey (2020) | 6-7 PF | Grandview Heights
Grandview is off to a good start to the season behind their senior leaders. The move to D4 could have Heights in a position to make a run this season too, we must say. Lachey is a Division l basketball prospect, but an even better football prospect. This season he’s doing what he does already putting in 15 points a night. Lachey is a nice second option to the guard led team and provides a nice inside-out duo. The senior is primed for a big time season for his last go around.
Kegan Hienton (2020) | 6-4 WF | Big Walnut
Kegan is a player that will most likely show up in the 2020 rankings the next time they’re updated. At first glance the senior might not standout, but he can flat out play and doesn’t need to be flashy. With an improved face up game, same knockdown shooter and the ability to post up and score inside the 6-foot-4 forward should have a solid senior season. He’s off to doing so, hovering around 14 points a night through five games for Big Walnut. Hienton has impressed us on the grassroots stage, as well as showcases.
