1. Colby Jones, 6’5 SG, Mountain Brook: The versatile wing has already inked his name to play next season at Xavier University who is bringing in a top 10 recruiting class. He possesses a unique skill from the guard position that is somewhat a throwback. He has an extremely high motor which allows him to be able to guard multiple positions on the perimeter. He is an above-average rebounder for his position and has very good athletic ability. He needs to continue to improve his ball-handling skills in one-on-one situations but has a great feel for the game which should make his transition to the major college level seamless.
2. Rongie Gordon Jr, 6’8 PF, Jeff Davis: A physical specimen for his age, he has the ability to play both the wing and post positions. Although he is more suited as a pick-and-pop 4 on the next level. His ability to carve out space in the paint makes him a terror on the high school level. He won’t have any issues because of his work ethic in becoming a very good catch and shoot 3-point shooter. The lefty, of course, thrives on the left block and mid-post but doesn’t have any issues going right and finishing over his left shoulder. He is expected to make a commitment choice on which school he will attend over the next few weeks.
3. Austin Harvell, 6’6 SF, East Limestone: A very high motor athlete that can guard 4 and at times 5 positions on the floor. An extremely good athlete he does a very good job of finishing above the rim. He can score at all three levels and handles it well enough to get to his spots on the floor. A monster on the glass especially on the offensive end of the floor. Has the ability to take it off the rim and start fast breaks and understands how to pass in the open court. He needs to continue to improve ball skills and shot consistency but is a legit prospect in this class.
4. Antwan Burnett, 6’5 SG, Sidney Lanier: His body has high-major written all over it. He has all the tools to get in done on the court from all three levels. He needs to continue to improve his one-on-one ball-handling ability to become an even more unguardable offensive weapon. His athleticism has really improved over the spring and summer which now allows him to finish over defenders as well as through them. He has deep range on his jump-shot and should be a steal for any school that gets him to sign an NLI.
5. Jalen Myers, 6’7 SF, Bob Jones: This long and wiry athlete runs like a deer in the open court. He thrives in the open court and has a great understanding of spacing and how to play off the ball. He is capable of knocking down open 3’s and has a smooth approach to the game once the ball is in his hands. A very good rebounder for his style of play and is able to guard positions 2-4 consistently.
