Here’s a look at some of the top standouts from both teams in that game.
1. Henri Adiassa – Crossroads 2022
Adiassa remains one of the most intriguing prospects in the Southern California area. He’s a mobile big who is still learning and developing his game. He has become a little bit more aggressive on the offensive end than he was last season. He has nice recognition of defensive coverage; he’s reading double teams better. He has developing footwork in the paint and defensively he becoming a solid anchor.
2. Orlando Greenlow – Venice 2023
Greenlow is another one of the most intriguing prospects in the Southern California area. He’s a hybrid player whose versatile skill-set will be fun to watch as he develops. His size has him matching up against bigs, but he is quick like a wing and can make moves off the dribble. He has a nice pull-up jumper and can drive and dish. Defensively, he has great instincts. He bodies players up well and keeps them out of their comfort zones.
3. TJ Muhammad – Crossroads 2021
Muhammad is one of the heart and soul leaders of the Roadrunners. He does so many of the little things that contribute to a winning team and don’t always show up in a box score. He takes charges, he dives on the floor for loose balls, he keeps the ball moving on offense, he contests well defensively, he fights for rebounds. He’s become a very good outside shooter and he can attack the rim.
4. Bernard Perry – Venice 2021
Perry was another bright spot for the Gondoliers despite the lopsided game. He’s a strong wing who is solid when it comes to creating his own offense. He can put the ball on the floor and get himself to the rim. He’s able to use his strength to bump off smaller guards and get where he wants to go. He can draw contact and get himself to the free-throw line. He’s very active around the rim and rebounds well for a wing.
5. Yuuki Okubo – Crossroads 2020
Okubo has been one of the main engines who make the Roadrunners go the past few seasons. He’s developed into a solid point guard with good court awareness who’s always looking to make the right decisions. He’s a solid playmaker who can find his teammates on the break or in the halfcourt. He’s become much more comfortable looking for his own shot and is a legit scoring threat. Plays hard defensively getting in front of his opponent.
