Here are some games to watch:
Carrington at Dakota Prairie, 7:30 p.m., Friday, December 13
This one features two of the best individual players in Class B North Dakota as Seth Nelson and Carrington take on Tyler Loe and Dakota Prairie. Nelson is a returning all-state forward who will have a lot on his plate as the Cardinals break in a lot of young pieces. Loe is one of the most explosive scorers in the state and will lead a Dakota Prairie team that was one of the highest scoring in Class B last year.
Hatton/Northwood at Enderlin, 7:30 p.m., Friday, December 13
This could be the game of the night Friday in Class B as Hatton/Northwood and Enderlin are among the top-15 teams in Class B. The Thunder return a big chunk of its core from a 17-win campaign last year including top-notch junior guard Colton Konschak. Enderlin counters with a terrific frontcourt pairing of Joe Hurlburt and Gus Hurlburt.
Dickinson Trinity at Shiloh Christian, 3:30 p.m., Saturday, December 14
Here’s a matchup featuring a pair of top-10 teams in Class B. Shiloh Christian returns all-state forward Jaden Mitzel while Dickinson Trinity has an excellent group of returning guards led by Matthew Stafford and Cole Fitterer. Both teams have state tournament talent and aspirations and while this game could be a bit of slog on the offensive end, both teams have built winning programs through outstanding defense.
