Noah Kon 6’0 PG / Houston Christian / Jr. PHTX100
Noah had himself a big game as he went for another 30 point outburst. He is a bouncy guard whose jump shot continues to get better from beyond the arc throughout the season. He has a great motor and plays a little bully ball as he is able to get where he wants on the floor. Had some back-scratching dunks in the game that got the crowd going crazy. He is one that college coaches should have on their radar.
Derrick Brown III 6’0 G / St. Pius X / Sr.
Derrick has a quick release on his jumper. He doesn’t get much lift on his shot but he makes them at a high rate. Has good ball speed and is very competitive on the court. Filled the right lanes while pushing it in transition for great looks for his teammates.
Jaylen Wysinger 6’1 PG / St. Pius X / Jr.
This bouncy prospect plays with a super high motor. He has the ability to create his own shot at will no matter how tough the defense may be. He showed flashes of his point guard abilities as a passer throughout the game as well with quality paint touches for easy kick-outs to his teammates. He is a prospect that coaches want to get to know as well as he can fill up the stat sheet really quick.
Tyler Jackson 6’5 SF / Nederland / Jr.
I’ve said it before and I will say it again about this prospect and that is he is a junkyard dawg. He rebounds the ball extremely well by boxing out on every possession and out jumping his opponent. Plays with great energy and just gets after it. Aways shots at a high rate with quality buckets by driving and finishing over bigger defenders. Takes charges and doesn’t say much just plays the game. Finished with 31 points and 9 rebounds. Solid prospect that coaches at the D2 level want to get to know ASAP.
Hayden Hefner 6’4 SG / Nederland / Sr. PHTX200 [Texas A&M]
It took Hefner a while to get going but once his shots started to fall he was as good as gold. Finished with 21 points in the game on 4/10-3PT shooting. The Aggies commit played the majority of the game and also dished out 6 assists in the game. He isn’t 100% healthy yet but he looked good on the court.
RJ Keene 6’4 SG / Concordia Lutheran / Jr. PHTX100
RJ made some really tough jumpers in the game. Showcased his off-ball game with solid catch and shoot plays with great elevation and a quick release. His game continues to mature throughout the season. He currently holds a pair of NCAA D1 offers on the table and next season when he’s a senior he will be putting everyone in the rim trust me on this one. He finished with 21 points and 7 rebounds in the game.
D’Avian Houston 6’2 PG / Episcopal / Sr. PHTX200 [College of Charleston]
D-A was in his bag as a point in the game that I saw him. The College of Charleton commit was making some great full-court outlets into easy buckets under the rim and breaking down the half-court defense as well to get his teammates involved in the game. His ability to break down the defense also led him to some easy baskets at the rim where he finished the game with 15 points, 6 assists, and 5 rebounds.
DJ Nussbaum 6’9 C / Episcopal / Sr. PHTX200 [VMI]
The Virginia Military Institute commit looked really solid in his game. He showcased great hands in the post. Solid skill set on the low block and short corner. Finished with both hands around the rim. Was solid on both sides off the ball in the pick-n-roll/pick-n-pop sets. Finished the game with 20 points and 8 rebounds.
JaQuan Scott 6’8 PF / Universal Academy / Sr. PHTX200
Jaquan was on a mission from the tip of the game. The mission was to dominate the entire game and he did it with ease. He had a nasty posterizing dunk that made it’s way to Overtime and went viral online. Currently holds an NCAA Divison 1 offer from St. Johns University. He was looking more like a Point Foward as he brought the ball up the floor and ran the show on multiple possessions. Big time motor who did it all in the game.
