Ian Burns (New Trier – 2021)
Burns is a big wing that can really shoot the basketball. Burns was effective spotting up for New Trier connecting on 3-5 from deep. Clean looking free and easy stroke. He had 9 points all on threes.
Justin Brown (Lane Tech – 2021)
Brown is a lefty point guard that let it fly from deep. Hit 3-4 from beyond the arc several of them being momentum swingers in his 9 point outing.
Blake Peters (Evanston – 2021)
No surprise to see Peters here as he is among the premier shooters in the state of Illinois. The junior guard hit 3-6 from deep moving without the ball to get open and drilling shots off the catch. He finished with 21 points.
Louis Lesmond (Niles Notre Dame – 2021)
Lesmond hit a three early, but the top 10 junior was quiet for most of the game until he emerged late again with his perimeter shooting hitting a pair of threes with elevation to get his team back in the game. He had 15 points on 3-4 from three.
Trey Pettigrew (Fenwick – 2022)
Pettigrew had a monster performance at CEC. A major part of that was his shooting both pulling up off the bounce and shooting threes behind screens. The standout sophomore went for 22 points including 2-3 from deep.
Gabe Madej (Fenwick – 2022)
This sophomore is a big time shooter for Fenwick that is only going to get better as time goes on. Plus shooter from three off the catch with positional size. He drilled 3-5 coming off the bench for 9 points.
Dante Maddox (Bloom – 2020)
Maddox was the best shooter of the event! The Cal State Fullerton commit was throwing straight fire through the nets all game long. He torched Pace for 6-7 from deep. He has always been a plus shooter especially off the catch, but he used his step back the best we have seen him creating space drilling super deep threes for 30 points.
Ahamad Bynum (Simeon – 2021)
Bynum liked shooting it on his future home court. The DePaul commit hit some key threes for the Wolverines in their game on Saturday afternoon. The microwave scorer connected on 3-8 from deep for 21 points.
DJ Steward (Whitney Young – 2020)
Steward is one of the better shooters in the class. He struggled scoring more efficiently inside the arc than out. From three he hit 4-10 including several clutch ones throughout the game. Silky smooth stroke off the catch and pulling up. Went for 21 points.
