Trinity Christian Senior Guard Mike Boykin came up big time in their matchup with Freedom Christian, finishing with 19 Points in the win. Boykin recently transferred into TCS and has been a valuable piece to the team due to his leadership and ability to score the ball.
Village Christian Senior Guard Zavian Mclean continues his streak of playing at an extremely high level as he dropped 31 points against Cape Fear Academy. Mclean is the type of guard that you love to have on your team as he not only can score at a high level but he gives the same amount of effort and energy on the defensive end of the floor as well.
A.L Brown Sophomore Guard Kheni Briggs is off to a great start this season, putting together a performance of 22 points and 10 rebounds in a win. For the season he is averaging 27 points & 8 Rebounds, using his combination of strength and agility, he is a player that you can already see the college prospect potential in just by the eye test alone.
Dixon HS Junior Guard Logan Hubbard messed around and had a triple double on Tuesday night finishing with 14 Points, 10 Rebounds and 10 Assist. Hubbard is a player with a nice overall skillset and IQ for the game, he doesn’t allow himself to get sped up and does a great job of making the right play at the right time.
Moravian Prep & NC State signee Josh Hall led the way with 25 Points in a win in their rematch with Piedmont Classical. Hall has continued to play at a high level this season and is showing the potential that has coaches at NC State excited about his arrival.
Voyager Academy Senior big man Jonas Aidoo put together a double/double of 16 points & 10 Rebounds in their matchup with Falls Lake. We love the upside that Aidoo has in his game, he’s a legit 7 footer that has soft touch on the inside of the paint and continues to improve each time we see him.
South Johnston HS is off to a 3-0 start this season and Senior Forward CJ Ray is a big part of why they achieved such success. He’s been a double/double machine and scored 24 points to help them secure their win on Monday night. College programs should be keeping a close eye on him as he clearly has shown he can play on the next level.
High Point Christian Junior Guard KJ Garrett scored 21 points and pulled down 6 rebounds while his teammate Senior Guard Landon Sutton 24 points and pulled down 5 rebounds in a win over CDS. Their combination of scoring and facilitating as a backcourt makes them pretty dangerous, as the year goes on, don’t be surprised to see them clicking on all cylinders.
