Omarion Henry 6’7″ Normandy: The 2021 forward turned in the top individual performance of the night with 33 points in a victory over Owensville in the consolation bracket. Omar is an explosive athlete who loves to grab the defensive rebound and dribble coast to coast and dunk the ball. His skill set has continued to improve as he can slash to the basket and attack the offensive boards. His upside is still very substantial.
K.J. Lee 6’6″ Fort Zumwalt North: The smooth 2021 shooting guard scored an easy 13 points as the Panthers defeated Pacific 60-33 in the semifinals. He displayed his long distance stroke with three triples while also showcasing a more confident handle as he scored on a couple of nice coast to coast forays to the basket. He has emerged into a legit Division I prospect over the past year.
Todd Bieg 6’6″ Washington: The 2021 forward was a force in the Blue Jays 55-47 victory over cross-town rival Borgia in the semifinals with 15 points, seven rebounds and five blocked shots. He controlled the action in the paint with his size and length. He displayed a nice jump hook in the post and a very disciplined game on defense, especially in the fourth quarter when he had four fouls, but still blocked three shots.
Grant Rapplean 5’7″ Fort Zumwalt North: The small 2020 point guard scored 11 points in the Panthers’ victory over Pacific in the semifinals. He really got things rolling in the first quarter with a couple of deep 3-pointers in the first quarter as the Panthers bolted to a 19-2 lead. He’s quick and he has good handles, but he also moves well without the ball to get open for his quick release 3-pointer.
Jeremiah Broadbent 6’2″ Washington: The 2020 combo guard scored a team-high 15 points in the victory over cross-town rival Borgia in the semifinals. He knocked down consecutive 3-pointers in the first half to really spark the Blue Jays offense. He used his size and strength to his advantage to handle the ball and ward off Borgia’s quick guards when they tried to pressure the basketball.
Trent Strubberg 5’8″ Borgia: The 2020 point guard used his speed and quickness to be a factor at both ends of the court. His on-ball defense was very good and he also had three steals that led to transition buckets on the other end. He got into the lane with some nifty escape moves off the dribble and finished at the rim as he scored 12 points and kept his team in the game in the semifinals against Washingto.
