I’ve been lucky enough to cover high school players in multiple states, from players currently in the NBA to kids searching for their opportunity. In honor of my 600th article, I’m going to give you 6 sure fire future college basketball players from the class of 2021. College coaches and die hard fans of the game will want to keep an eye on this list of athletes.
Logan Carson (6’9″, PF, Buchanan)
Carson proved himself at the Prep Hoops Top 250. He had one of the top 5-10 performances at the event. Carson was willing to bang in the paint on defense and then score facing the bucket.
Ryan Grantham (6’4″, G/F, Grand Rapids Catholic Central)
Grantham is a shooter through and through. He has a good release point and fires it with confidence. If anything, I’d encourage him to shoot more. Grantham is a game changer from behind the arc.
Lucas Henderson (5’10”, PG, Ypsilanti)
This young man is like the ball in a pinball machine. He bounces around everywhere, but never stops moving. Henderson plays fast and pushes the ball down the floor. He attacks the rim off the dribble and has an effective pull up jumper.
Linden Holder (6’0″, PG, DeLaSalle)
Holder had a very nice spring and summer and leaped up the prospect rankings. He proved to be an effective floor general. Holder was comfortable with being both a scorer and a facilitator.
Blake Lund (6’1″, CG, Linden)
Lund belongs in the top 20 in the class of 2021. And guess what? He hasn’t stopped improving. Lund can hit at a high percentage from deep as well as be counted on as a defensive stopper. His game is so well rounded that he can always find a way to contribute.
Bryan Tyler (5’10”, PG, Belleville)
Tyler is a magician on the basketball court. He’s smooth and rarely turns the ball over. The way Tyler distributes, it’s like he has x-ray vision and can see through the traffic. He reminds me a bit of Earl Boykins.
