2022 Class Rankings Update
The update for the Class of 2022 is finally here. With the new season under way, it is the right time to have the new rankings come out. The top five has not changed from the last edition, but over 30 new players are being added to the rankings.
Hudson Catholic’s Zion Cruz retains his spot atop the rankings after an impressive two-game stretch to start the season. Will Richardson has also elevated his game to a new level so far in the season and is aiming for the top spot in 2022. Roselle Catholic’s Corey Floyd Jr. is the only top five to have not eclipsed 20 points in a game this season, but his all-around play for the Lions keeps him at the third spot. Mark Armstrong and Jayden Pierre have both started their sophomore campaigns with a bang and have the potential to jump into the top three.
The 2022 class is loaded with high-level guards, leaving the opportunity for a high-end big man to shoot up the rankings in the coming season. Big men who are able to score effectively on the block and also defend well on the interior are the traits that push players up in the rankings. The players who are able to impact the game on both ends of the floor are the ones who find themselves way up in the rankings.
