***Be aware that the phrase “unsung hero” is not implying that these players are not good or elite, just that they aren’t the “star” of their team.
Michael Batchelor 6’2 2020 G Millennium
Millennium will have a ton of media at all of their games this season and most will probably key in on DaRon Holmes and Justus Jackson. Definitely a wise choice. However, you may notice that Batchelor is the engine that drives Millennium. He does all of the dirty work and little things that you wouldn’t notice unless you are a true hoops junkie. Batchelor definitely doesn’t get enough praise for his efforts and contribution to the team but trust me…he is a huge part of Millennium’s success.
JJ White 6’3 2021 G Ironwood
Another player who is vital to their team’s success is JJ White of Ironwood. JJ is the prototypical 3 and D Type player. I would guess that most will key in on Dominic Gonzalez or Trent Hudgens this year but JJ is super important to this team, especially on defense. You can plug this guy on anyone and he’ll shut them down or at the very least slow them down.
Tanner Mayer 6’5 2020 F Sunrise Mountain
Mayer is another kid that probably won’t get a ton of attention from various media outlets this year but he’s definitely a solid player and piece for Sunrise Mountain. The kid is ridiculously strong and will dominate any post players that cannot match his size or strength. Very few can match up to the latter of that statement.
Diego Mendoza 5’10 2021 G Cienega
JT Elder is by far the best prospect on this squad and has college coaches on their toes. However, Diego is a vital part of their team. I felt like the team played better overall with his at point. He’s a solid defender but I love his play making ability as well.
