So what’s life like at the Prep school and what are some things that these young men wanted to learn about their team at Fall League? Check out the interview below for those answers and more!
Q: This is our second time being at Triad Fall League this year, so how has the league been for you guys and how do you feel it has helped you prepare for the upcoming season.
Blaine: It’s a great way to get out and compete together, being your team before a lot of other teams start their season, so it’s a good way to bring us together.
Peyton: Piggybacking off of what he said, just building chemistry and things like that before the season which are all things that are important, that’s why we are out here trying to do what we do.
Tavis: It’s a good advantage for us and others that are in the league so that we are able to build on our trust and communication before the actual regular season starts.
Q: Moravian Prep has been on social media a ton and it seems like there has been a larger amount of players going there this season. How is it being away from home somewhat and what’s the process like being at Moravian?
Blaine: Yea, we are all kindve from different areas but it’s a different environment from any other school, we all get to compete against each other every day.
Peyton: We are all from different places but like he said, it’s a great enviorment, getting better and stronger and the chance to compete every day.
Tavis: The same as what they were saying, we are all different areas but we all come together to do one job.
Q: It seems like it’s preparing you guys for college somewhat as you are away from home and familiar surrondings, and different people. What are some of the things that you feel you have learned while you have been at Moravian that will help you once you get to the next level?
Blaine: Probably just the level of competition, going hard every day because once you get to the next level you really have to step up your game on a daily basis.
Peyton: I would say work ethic and toughness, preparing for college is a big step from high school so I feel like what we do on a daily basis is helping us with that.
Tavis: I would just say toughness from compeiting with talented players daily which will help us in getting ready for the next level.
Q: What were you all looking to gain from the Triad Challenge Fall League overall?
Blaine: Just playing together, it’s a great opportunity to do that here while competing with other programs.
Peyton: As a Point Guard for me it’s about learning the strengths and abilities of my teammates, so this gives me that opportunity to learn those things before the season starts.
Tavis: Being able to put the plays that we work on throughout the week into game situations while we here before the season starts so once regular season begins we already have been though everything.
