Trey Phipps 2020 Booker T. Washington Guard
There were times when Phipps should have been more aggressive today. Still, he was the best shooter in the gym without question. It only takes one shot to get him going.
Dalante Shannon 2021 Edmond North Guard
Shannon was a beast on Saturday scoring at all levels. When the defense left him open from deep he made them lay by finding the bottom of the net. Shannon has clearly taken the next step. NCAA D1 schools it is time to start taking a deeper look at Shannon.
Jordan Thompson 2020 Southmoore Point Guard
Thompson is a deadeye from three-point range. The Southmoore senior remains one of the top unsigned 2020 prospects in the state with many D2 offers on the table. Thompson is not only a shooter but a gamer and that is why Southmoore must be considered one of the favorites in Class 6A.
Sean Pedulla 2021 Edmond Memorial Point Guard
Pedulla is a certified killer with deep range at the Point. This season Edmond Memorial has the ability to take him off the ball and put it in the hands of CJ Campbell, which opens up Pedulla off the ball from three-point shots. Pedulla is going to be tough to slow down. The NCAA D1 offers are not going to slow down anytime soon.
Marlo Fox 2021 Sand Springs Guard
Fox had himself quite the day shooting the rock consistent from three-point range. Fox thrives when he can pull up from deep off the bounce. If Fox can continue to play at this level Sand Springs will go to another level as a team.
Landry Harris 2021 Edmond North Point Guard
Harris has long been known for running the Point Guard position efficiently. Saturday, Harris shocked me with how consistent he was able to hit three-point shots. It is clear Harris took the next step needed during the offseason. Harris can get open on his own off the dribble and shoot. Saturday what worked the best was the catch and shoot opportunities for Harris.
Demontreal Crutchfield 2020 Del City Point Guard
Crutchfield is a silent killer for the Del City Eagles. Just when the defense loses him for a moment Crutchfield makes them pay with a huge dagger jumper. Crutchfield is guy who is super dangerous because he can shoot off the dribble or in a catch and shoot situation.
Bryce Thompson 2020 Booker T. Washington Guard
It would be blasphemous to not include the best scorer in the state on a list like this. Thompson is taking on double teams left and right this season. Everyone is well aware who number 3 is on the court. Thompson made sure he reminded everyone why he is going to Kansas with his silky smooth jumper.
Josh Price 2021 Edmond North Guard
Price was on FIRE in the game I watched him play. He could not miss from behind the arc. He thrives as a catch and shoot shooter in the Edmond North offense. Price is a guy NCAA D2’s should begin to take a look at. He plays with a swagger about him on the court. Primarily he is at his best coming off screens for openings.
James Locke 2021 Carl Albert Wing
If you are not aware of the name James Locke you should be. Locke is going to tear up the nets this year for the Carl Albert Titans. The accuracy of Locke to be able to his shots on the move or in catch and shoot situations is what separates him from the pack. Locke is best in catch and shoot, but has massively improved his ability to create his own shot. The way Coach Price is using him at Carl Albert is going to make him and the Titans very tough too.
J’Lynn Counter 2020 Southmoore Wing
Counter is a Wing that many teams will have to account for throughout the season at Southmoore. It only takes him finding a slight opening moving without the ball to get a clean look at the bucket. Counter is going to thrive in the positions Southmoore is putting him in on the court.
Matthew Stone 2021 Kingfisher Wing
Stone is an old fashion western John Wayne when it comes to sharpshooting from deep. Fair warning to all don’t leave him open or you will pay the price of the ball finding the bottom of the net. It was easy to see why NCAA D1 High Major programs are recruiting him so hard.
