The 2019-20 season officially kicked off on Monday night. 

I made my annual start watching Fort Myers as the Green Wave traveled to Naples to take on Community School.

Here is a look at the top performers from the outing.

Javian McCollum (Fort Myers)

As the game marched on, so did 2021 6'1" guard Javian McCollum. He had a game-high 19 points for Fort Myers as he did his usual act from deep as a spot-up shooter. It was his dribbling, shiftiness and ability to beat defenders in 1-on-1 matchups at the point of attack that constantly stood out. He lived at the free throw line for much of the second and third quarter. McCollum simply keeps everything calm with his team and his vocalness was on full display in this opening tilt.

Da'Mani Brown (Fort Myers)

Transferring from Maryland La Plata, 2021 6'3" guard Da'Mani Brown was a true difference maker in his debut for Fort Myers. Fresh off a football season, he came off the bench to score 15 points, pacing the leader McCollum. Brown is a long body who got going as a shooter with a pair of triples in the
