I like to take a look at my annual “Top-5’s”.
It’s just a fun way to take a look at players’ elite skills in different categories.
We start with shooting. Which seniors will have the top shooting seasons in the AIA?
Here are my Top-5:
1. Brycen Long (Gilbert)--Did it in big moments last year to prove that he is one of the better shooters. Committed to Houston Baptist.
@Brycen_Long with 26 pts, 4 reb and 3 assists in just over 2 qtrs of play for the now 19-1 @GilbertBball#oneofmanyTigers@PowerhouseHoops @CoachJeffBecker @PHHNEVERSTOPS @GreggRosenberg1 @azc_obert @LeagueMe_ @iplayelite pic.twitter.com/byrPTJovtc

2. Dominic Gonzalez (Ironwood)–Another that is highly thought of as the top shooter in the AIA. He should open up many coaches eyes this year.
3. Jackson Risi (Valley Christian)— Arguably the quickest shooting release in the state. Gets hot in a blink of an eye and will look to help the Trojans repeat as 3A champions.

4. Xzavier Lino (Sunnyslope)–One of the best, if not the best, corner 3pt shooter in the state. (Pictured)
5. Anthony Irivin (Corona del Sol)–Made a name for himself this summer with some monster shooting games including a half court shot to beat Belmont Shore at the buzzer.
My next-5:
1. Evan Nelson (Salpointe Catholic)–He is a good shooter but also creates more shots for himself then anyone on the list. He is both a scorer and a shooter. Committed to Harvard.
4. Tay Boothman (Buckeye)–Another creator but also a very good shooter. Had a huge game in the Section-7 this summer with over 40 points.
3. Caleb Alonso (Desert Ridge)–The lone lefty on the list has great size and can shoot it consistently.
4. Isaac Monroe (Peoria)–A quick shooter likes big moments and can shoot it off the dribble.
5. JD Feagles (Horizon)–Deep shooter may avg near 20 ppg with his top-tier shooting for the Huskies.
5 way under the radar:
1. Cameron Snyder (Tempe)-Catch shooter can light it up. He also plays a nice lead guard role as well.
2. Christian Valle (Hamilton)–Not well known but Valle has a clip! Almost all off the catch and has a smooth jumper.
3. Robby Devries (Millennium)–A bigger guard can really shoot it. The Texas transfer should be a nice piece next to Holmes and Jackson.
4. Anthony Giliberto (Paradise Valley)–The lone big forward on the list is arguably the top shooting forward.
5. Tyrese Rogers (Boulder Creek)–Another good shooter could also score near 20 ppg this year.
