DeAndre Downing – Washington County – Forward/Wing
Downing is a long, 6-foot-6 wing that can stroke it from deep and play above the rim. He’s not afraid to get rebounds and get to the rim and does so quite well for a player of his size. As he improves his strength, look for him to breakout in 2019-20.
Trent McIntyre – Piedmont Classical – Guard/Wing
McIntyre is an underrated guard prospect that does a little bit of everything to fill up the stat sheet. He moves well without the ball and can distribute with the ball in his hands, giving him quite the versatile skillset.
Jonas Aidoo – Voyager Academy – Forward/Center
Aidoo is a 7-foot terror in the paint that’s only getting better by the game. He’s dominant in the post but is even more deadly when he can extend his game to the perimeter and really catch opponents off guard. He holds offers from High Point and App State as well.
Vernon Fraley Jr. – Wakefield – Wing/Forward
Fraley is primarily a forward but he’s got the shooting stroke and mobility to play the wing. He’s a burden in the paint already at 6-foot-5 and keeps teams guessing with his ability to play inside and out. He’s also relentless on the boards using his solid frame.
Adam Carey – Millbrook – Guard/Wing
Carey is a “plug-and-play” type guard that can pretty much play multiple positions on the floor. In their season-opener, he manned the PG position with Nolan Dorsey out and he fared well handling pressure and making things happen. He’s an undervalued guard at 6-foot-3 that deserves some looks.
Jalen McCoy – Millbrook – Forward/Wing
McCoy is another undervalued player in the Millbrook High School rotation with his ability to make things happen in the paint on both ends. He’s a 6-foot-5 prospect with nice length and athleticism that allows him to finish around the rim and in the midrange area. He’s the X-Factor this year for the Wildcats.
Linwood Grandy – Wayne Country Day – Forward/Wing
Grandy is a 6-foot-4 forward that can do a little bit of everything on the floor. He can knock down the outside shot, play above the rim and create off the dribble. He’s a player due for a strong senior year and some attention from college coaches.
Kaleb Brooks – Wesleyan Christian – Forward/Wing
Brooks is a versatile prospect with a smooth game on the perimeter. He can spot up and knock down the 3-pointer and create off the dribble all over the floor. He moves well without the basketball and finds his open spots on the floor well in space. He’ll be one sharpshooter that makes a college coach proud on Day 1.
