Conference Commentary
Top State Contender: East Grand Forks
EGF has most of their talent coming back including their best all around player and producer in Sam Votava, one of the top juniors in state. Sam pairs nicely with Julian Benson and Tanner Campos in the EGF backcourt. Add Nathan Willett up front with some other experienced pieces and they are the team with the best shot in the section to knock off Perham.
Compete with Most: Crookston, Roseau
Crookston will be better this year. A year ago they were 8-17 but a pair of returning players should help get them near the .500 mark. Roseau is a solid program that won 21 games a year ago but the majority of their line-up including three all league honored players.
Rebuilding: Thief River Falls, Warroad
If somebody is rebuilding it may be the Prowlers. After several really good seasons TRF fell to ten wins last year and has to replace three starters. The other rebuilding team could be Warroad how losses six of their main guys from a short rotation a year ago.
Predicted Order of Finish
- East Grand Forks
- Crookston
- Roseau
