Prep Hoops: What are your first memories of basketball becoming something you love and a big part of your life?
Teegan Evers: First memory would have been when I was little playing basketball outside against my brother
What is your pregame ritual on game day?
TE: Pregame ritual is drinking a monster energy drink before a game
Who is your favorite college or professional player to watch? And to learn from (if different)?
TE: My favorite basketball player to watch is Cassius Winston from Michigan State because he plays the game with a passion
Do you enjoy the NBA and if so, what teams do you regularly watch?
TE: I’m not too big of an NBA fan but I like the Bulls
If you could play on any court in the world, what court would you pick and why?
TE: If I could play on any court I would pick the United Center in Chicago because that’s where Michael Jordan played.
Who is your team’s biggest rival in basketball and what makes that rivalry special?
TE: Our rivalry has always been Mitchell because we are so close and it’s always a close game no matter what
When you are off the floor, what is your favorite hobby to take part in?
TE: When I’m not playing basketball I’m either playing video games or hanging out with friends.
The best sports movie of all time is? And best non sports move?
TE: Best sports movie of all time is Miracle on ice and best non sports movie is Step Brothers.
At this point in your basketball life what has been the most memorable moment, or moments?
TE: Most memorable moments are just moments with the team, we always have a good time everywhere on and off the court and playing basketball against my brothers are moments I won’t forget.
How do players in your community support and relate to the young and up and coming players? In other words, what do you guys do to support the youth hoopers in your area?
TE: The guys always help out at youth camps and show drills and during basketball games for the youth we help ref and run scoreboard.
What is the best advice that you’ve received in life?
TE: The best advice I’ve received is that “the little things is what takes you the furthest way”
What makes basketball in South Dakota different? And what makes it special?
TE: Basketball in South Dakota is different because the level of intensity everyone plays with is high no one ever backs down from a challenge and it’s always special because the fans are always right by your side and never leave you no matter what.
