Chase Martin 2022 Jenks Wing
This is the year Martin could announce himself to the world. Martin has all of the measurables you want to see heading into this sophomore season. Jenks is putting the ball in his hands and letting him have opportunities to be a playmaker. So far so good. I am excited to see what he does throughout the 2019-2020 season.
Makale Smith 2021 Midwest City Guard
Admittedly, I even have slept on Smith over the years. An undersized Point Guard but look past his height and you will see an athletic, high basketball IQ Guard with tons of production. Smith tore it up on Saturday scoring with ease. He dominated getting to the basket and finishing in traffic.
Jaden Harrell 2022 Carl Albert Point Guard
Harrell has some of his brothers game to him for sure. On this years Titans squad he will be asked to handle some of the Point Guard duties. The unselfish play of Harrell should surprise no one, but how well he can fit the rock into spots it should go to is what impressed me. When he was given opportunities to hit big shots Harrell obliged. Oh, and I can’t leave out the outstanding charges he takes on defense I love seeing that. Look for Harrell to make a huge jump at Carl Albert this year.
Josh Price 2021 Edmond North Wing
Price was the breakout player of the day with his sharpshooting for Edmond North. At this stage in his high school career Price is getting the biggest opportunity so far and is making the most of it. Price is a lethal shooter that once he sees the ball go in garners extreme confidence.
Keyondre Young 2021 Del City Wing
The focus for many will be on the two senior Guards Nate Goodlow and Demontreal Crutchfield and rightfully so. This is also a year for Young to take the next step. Young has a Division I body and frame. If the light bulb clicks at the right time not only will offers roll in for Young but the Eagles will be the best team in Class 5A.
Earl Moseby 2021 Lawton MAC Guard
Moseby is a difference-maker scoring the basketball for Lawton MAC. The longer the game went the more confidence Moseby gained. Moseby could be a guy in the Lawton area that many are unaware of but should know his scoring talents.
Jayde Duncan 2020 Sapulpa Guard
Duncan is a sniper from the Wing with an excellent looking jumper. He will be a small college scholarship player with the high-level shooting he provides. This year is an opportunity for him to take the next step as a Guard and become dangerous off the bounce. If Duncan takes the next step Sapulpa is going to be really hard to beat.
Kendrick Williams 2021 Sapulpa Guard
Williams biggest struggle throughout his career has been to get on the court. At Sapulpa so far so good. As a player Williams is unquestionably one of the biggest sleepers in the state. He can drive the ball to the hoop for two or pull up quickly with his jumper. This is a BIG season for Williams to make his mark.
