October’s Skills Pay Bills camp delivered on the promise of packing the gym with some of Texas’ up and coming talent. Take a look into the next crop of highly touted DFW prospects.
Sharodd Ross
A quick guard who breaks down defender with his handle. He’s a sharp passer who finds the open shooter.
Denim Collins
Collins is a shifty guard that gets to his shot with ease. He can create his own with a live dribble finishing with a pull-up jumper. An aggressive defender with long arms.
Jonah Bowman
Bowman is a strong defender with a solid frame for his age. He uses his strength to barrel into the lane and defend perimeter and post.
Micah Robinson
Robinson is something to reckon with in transition. As a forward with promising size for his age he useful two-way player. Thanks to advanced athleticism and coordination he’s able to separate himself on the court.
Frances Chukwudebelu
This young man has star potential written all over. He’s 6-9 coordinated and young for his field. He has an advanced handle for a big, fluid athleticism, and all the tools to dominate the paint. He’s a good rim runner and provides rim protection.
Jaxson Ford
Ford has impressed me since last summer’s Jr. NBA championship and every stop along the way. The 6-7 post continues to play with energy and athleticism. He’s looked strong against high-level competition and stands out amongst his peers. He sets solid screens, knocks down a consistent short corner jumper, and rebounds at a high level.
Marlon Linton
Linton might have one the most advanced game for 2024s in Texas. He’s comfortable running point or running the wings. The smooth shooting lefty has range out to three and is comfortable shooting off the dribble. He has great court vision, throws timely passes, and defends with footwork rather than his hands. His ability to control games will only be rivaled by the top guards of his class.
Trae Nunn
Nunn is built to run a team as a power guard. At 5-10 he’s physical enough to guard 1 through 4 and not be pushed around. His tight handle allowed him to cut through defenses with ease. He hardly turns the ball over thanks to smart decision making and high IQ.
Rachard Angton
A guard with elite quickness and crafty handle Angton is a prospect to keep an eye on. He creates his shot, uses floaters to score over the camp’s best shot blockers, and makes advanced passes for his age.
Chaz Wallace
Wallace is a solid lead guard. He’s quick with a tight an apt combination for breaking down defenders. He’s an aggressive driver and looks to gain contact along the way.
Deon Barrett
Barrett is an incredibly developed guard for his age. He has a strong build and great body control when finishing around the rim. He’s a calming presence at the point starting slowly to set teammates up then exploding once he feels comfortable.
Isaiah Brewington
The event’s silent sniper was locked in during every drill. He moves his feet well on defense and understands how to maneuver his body around picks. His consistent jumper from three rounds out his game.
Nate Macordy
In this prospect, you’ll find a skilled athlete. He uses his physical gifts well using his natural speed and bounce to score. We could be looking at a young Swiss Army knife player as he develops.
