Edmonds Woodway’s Mutdung Bol burst onto the scene during his junior year and really proved himself to be a legitimate Division 1 prospect. He listed offers from Portland State and Eastern Washington early on, but there was no word of any commitment or updated news from his camp. I caught up with Bol to see how things are coming along with the whole decision making process.
The 6’3 super scorer told Prep Hoops, “The recruitment journey has been a roller coaster. I’ve had my ups and downs through this process but it’s been something I’m grateful beyond belief to be apart of. It shows that the work I’m putting in is paying off. What’s next for me is to focus on this upcoming season, finish strong in the classroom and make my decision.” Mutdung mentioned that he has not taken any visits, but he plans to in the next couple months. He still holds offers from Portland State and Eastern Washington and he also mentioned to us he picked up a new offer from Cleveland State over the summer.
Mutdung plans to make his decision during the school season. “Academics, location, coaches, teammates and me finding the best fit are things that will go into making the decision for where I want to play next year.” Whichever school gets his commitment will be getting a springy guard that can really score off the bounce. He can make difficult shots and has a way of slithering through the defense to get his shot off. In the meantime, he has high hopes for the high school season with Edmonds Woodway and he made sure to mention, “Watch out for Edmonds Woodway this year! Bol brothers gonna put on a show!”
