Antwon Norman 6’0 PG / Jack Yates / 2020 PHTX150
He is a speedy guard that can take you off the dribble. He has a lot of JuCo’s on his trail at this moment. He scores in bunches and he does it on runs so when he’s hot he is hard to stop. Has solid dribble combo moves to create for himself and others. Lately, he has been more of a facilitator than he has in the years past which will be beneficial in his recruitment. He is a dawg on defense as well. Very pesky on-ball defender and uses his speed to jump passing lanes and will dunk it on your head. He finished with 27 points, dished out 6 assists, came away with 4 steals, and pulled down 3 rebounds. He shot 8/20 from the floor, 6/10 from deep, and 5/5 from the foul line.
Westley Sellers 6’1 G / Katy Morton Ranch / 2020 PHTX150
Westley recruitment should start to take off with how well he has been playing this season. He is a known terror on the defensive side of the ball. He will guard his man 94 feet and will more than likely cause a turnover. He has flirted with triple-doubles all season long. He has quickness and great court awareness. He finished with 19 points, grabbed 7 rebounds, dished out 7 assists, and had 6 steals. He shot 8/20 from the floor, went 2/9 from deep, and 1/2 from the charity stripe.
Journee Phillips 6’2 G / San Antonio Wagner / 2020 PHTX150
Another defensive-minded prospect that would make a college coach happy at the next level. He is very pesky, plays with a super high motor, and will talk trash all game long. He is scrappy and will challenge everything at the rim. His jumper has improved from last year. I hate doing NBA comparisons but he is like a Patrick Beverly type player who will guard anyone from the biggest to the smallest player on the court. He finished with 19 points, grabbed 8 rebounds, had 2 steals, and 1 blocked shot. He shot 7/15 from the floor, 0/2 from behind the arc, and went 5/10 from the foul line.
Jabari Miller 6’6 F / Dickinson HS / 2020
Jabari continues to raise his stock with his above the rim play. He can stretch out the floor on the next level at a small college as a combo forward or a stretch four. He can shoot the long ball and is very active on the defensive side of the ball. His stats from the game was 13 points, pulled down 17 rebounds, and had 2 big-time blocked shots. He had a bad shooting night as he went 4/12 from the floor, 1/7 from deep, and netted 4/4 of his foul shots.
Ja’Vier Francis 6’8 C / Westbury Christian / 2021 PHTX75
Pronounced (J-V-Air) is a young-minded big that continues to improve year after year. He just started playing basketball in the summer of his 8th-grade year transitioning into a 9th grader. He is very bouncy and will dunk on anyone under the rim. He is also a rebounding machine and keeps the ball up high at all times. He will be a steal for any college that lands him in the coming years. Soft-touch around the rim. Runs the floor like a deer. He is a rim protector as well. He will continue to progress over the years. He finished with 18 points, grabbed 7 rebounds, and had 6 blocked shots. He shot 7/13 from the floor and went 4/9 from the charity stripe.
RJ Keene 6’6 SF / Concordia Lutheran / 2021 PHTX75
RJ is a long and athletic wing that plays with an edge. He has a good motor and can score the ball from all levels on the court. He continues to improve his game defensively, as his timing is better for shot-blocking and his on-ball lateral movement is getting quicker as well. He can score above the rim and is starting to do so more so defenders should watch there heads. Finished the game with 13 points, pulled down 9 rebounds, dished out 4 assists, and had 2 big blocks in the game. He shot 3/10 from the field, 3/8 from behind the arc, and 4/4 from the foul line.
Clay Baldwin 6’0 PG / Fort Bend Ridge Point HS / 2020
Clay is a quick point that is hard to stay in front of when he’s going downhill. He has a great motor and isn’t afraid to get in the mix of things and after the 50/50 balls. He is a scrappy defender and can be pesky on the ball. Quick lateral movements and jumps the passing lanes. He likes to be crafty on his layups. He gets a lot of paint touches for easy kick-outs to the open man. Would be a great addition to any NAIA/D3 schools looking for a point guard. He finished with 20 points, grabbed 3 rebounds, dished out 2 assists, and came away with 2 steals. He shot 7/13 from the floor, went 1/3 from behind the arc, and shot 5/7 from the charity stripe.
Jordan Williams 6’2 PG / Kinkaid School / 2022
Jordan will be is a Top 50 prospect in the state of Texas for his class. He had a tremendous showing as he displayed every aspect of his game and came away with big-time interest from Stanford University who has invited him up for a visit in December. He currently holds an offer from Mississippi State University. He went coast to coast many times. A big strong lead guard that can get in the paint whenever he wants to. He is one of the best on-ball defenders regardless of class. Will challenge anything at the rim and is always looking to get his teammates involved in the game offensively. He finished with 20 points, grabbed 3 rebounds, came away with 3 steals, dished out 2 assists, and 1 block. He shot 9/18 from the floor, went 0/1 from deep, and shot 2/3 from the foul line.
