The crafty 6-foot, 150-pound point guard has been playing AAU with the Rose City Rebels the past two summers and this winter he’ll be running with the Jefferson Demos. Colleges have followed Hall all along and he recently showed off his stuff at the Prime Time Top 40.
“It was great competition,” Hall said. “Everyone got after it – it was a good atmosphere. I’ve been running the floor, working on my shot and it’s been getting better.”
Hall was one of the top guards at the event. The master of the Euro Step move, he cut through defenses to get to the basket where he either scored himself or kicked it to teammates for scores. In his last game, he stepped out and flashed off his improved jumper, knocking down two open threes.
Hall – who has been playing high school ball previously in Las Vegas before deciding to move to Portland – has been working hard on his game and despite how it ended, felt he balled out on the EYBL with the Rebels. “It was bittersweet – we should have made the Peach (Jam),” Hall said. “But we were just one game shy away. I think that I proved that I was one of the best guards in my class.”
While the point guard is now in the Beaver State, college coaches have continued to be in touch with him. He notes that he’s hearing from schools like Idaho State, Portland State, Pepperdine, Washington State, and Oregon State, all of whom have been in contact at one point or another. He’s staying open with the process. “I just want to go somewhere that I fit in,” Hall said. “Somewhere I can play my game.”
With any kind of college decision a ways off, Hall is looking forward to suiting up in the state of Oregon for the first time with Jefferson in the near future. “It’s been good – we start practice next week,” Hall said. “I like getting after it. The environment is really friendly and we all get along. It should be a good season.”
Hall currently ranks as the #10 player in the PrepHoops Oregon Class of 2021 rankings.
