His older brother, Gabriel Fajardo II, a 6’4″ guard is the leader for the Stallions, but Fajardo III is under his wing.
Fajardo III is 6’3″, 170 lbs. and played at Everglades Prep a season ago.
“My past season at Everglades Prep, it was decent,” Fajardo told Prep Hoops. “We lost most of our games but it helped me get used to playing against older competition as well as learning the game more since I was the man of the team as an 8th grader.”
Now, he turns to his freshman season where he’ll play alongside some very good athletes and compete in Class 3A-District 16.
“At Silver Palms, I’m most excited about playing with coach Steven [Lopez] and my older brother and to keep maturing as a basketball player and a leader,” he said.
This past summer, Fajardo III suited up for Florida Gold Coast and says it went really well.
No offers have come yet for him, but he is drawing interest from Division I programs already.
In terms of his top strengths, Fajardo III pointed to his scoring, ability to get into the paint and create for his teammates.
He says he is working on his ballhandling, shooting and being more vocal on the court.
This is a big opportunity for Fajardo III to learn and become a better player overall. He can score, we know that, but now he’s going to be part of a deep group and build on his skills for the future. He’s a 2023 prospect to keep a close eye on in South Florida.
