Matthew Levis (2020 Jesuit)
Levis is known for his endless motor and willingness to do the little things and that certainly was the case at the Prime Time Top 40. With shot attempts at a premium, he really didn’t do much in terms of scoring but the 6-foot senior was tough on defense and did a good job at moving the basketball. We fully expect him to challenge for Metro League Player of the Year honors this upcoming season.
Sam Noland (2020 Tualatin)
Noland earned a spot in the Prime Time Top 40 due to his play for Tualatin in the Become Legendary Fall League. While he may not have torn it up on Sunday, the 6-foot senior held his own, hitting a couple of threes when open and creating a bit off of the dribble. He’s earning some solid D-III looks and we’ll have an update posted soon.
Sam Abere (2020 Lake Oswego)
Abere didn’t necessarily do anything that jumped off the stat page but the senior guard did a good job of taking care of and moving the basketball. As always, the almost 6-foot-2 senior did a solid job staying with his man on defense and in the last game of the day, knocked down a couple of open jumpers.
Luke Smith (2021 Willamette)
Smith is one of the sleeper prospects from the 2021 class. He measured in at 6-foot-3, 185 pounds and he effectively used his size to score over smaller defenders when given the chance. Smith was tough on the boards as well. He’ll have a bigger role for Willamette this season and will be one to watch.
Cole Hardy (2020 South Salem)
Hardy was a bit of a surprise invitee as the 6-foot-4 wing is a newcomer at South Salem having transferred up from Salem Academy. In general, he picked his spots on the floor, scored a few garbage buckets, and fought hard for rebounds on both ends.
Hunter Schwenke (2020 Salem Academy)
Schwenke was a mystery to us going into the event and truth be told may have been a bit physically and athletically overmatched at times. But the almost 6-foot-1 combo guard didn’t back down from anybody, playing hard and with a good motor throughout. Schwenke wasn’t able to hit any threes but was able to scrap for a few buckets.
