The Prep Hoops Preseason Player of the Year is Emorie Knox at Myrtle Beach HS. Lets take a look at some of the seniors in the region right here on your source for basketball coverage all season long.
Emorie Knox – Myrtle Beach HS (pictured on the front)
Knox a point guard will sign next week at school with Charleston Southern University. Knox is ranked #12 in the Prep Hoops 2020 Palmetto State Class. Knox averaged 16.5 ppg and 6.2 assists last season for the Seahawks. Knox has scored 1,050 career points entering his senior season. Knox might be the fastest point guard in the Palmetto State from end to end with the ball. Knx has been on he varsity since his 8th grade year.
James MarquesJames Marques – Myrtle Beach HS
Marques 5’10 is a backcourt mate with Knox for the Seahawks. Marques will need to entertain junior college for next season according to Head Coach Craig Martin. Marques leaves it all on the floor at all times with complete full effort. Marques averaged 10.4 ppg and 3 steals last season.
Darius HoughDarius Hough – Myrtle Beach HS
Hough has had good success on the gridiron this fall. Hough plays wide receiver for the #1 ranked Seahawks. Hough started his career in the Columbia before coming to the beach last season.
Jamean MuldrowJamean Muldrow – Wilson HS (Florence)
Muldrow is a new player for the Tigers and Head Coach Ken Spencer this season. Muldrow played at region foe Darlington HS last season. Muldrow a left-handed guard-wing will look to lead the Tigers new look team this season.
Ryan DupreeRyan Dupree – Marlboro County HS (Bennettsville)
Dupree 6’3 is back for the Bulldogs in the post. Dupree is a undersized junk yard dog at times on the floor. Dupree seems to be most effective around the basket on put-backs and manufacturing points. Dupree plays bigger than his size and seems to know where his bread is buttered to be effective on the floor. Dupree averaged 10.1 ppg last season for the Bulldogs.
Wesley BrownWesley Brown – Marlboro County HS (Bennettsville)
Brown 6’4 has taken his game into the post this off season for the Bulldogs. Brown will post up and play with his back to the basket. Brown has good hands and is a deceptive athlete. Brown played strictly on the perimeter last season and settled for jumpers.
