Preseason Player of the Year – Justice Jackson – South Florence HS (pictured on the front)
Jackson really filled it up last season for the Bruins by averaging 23 ppg. Jackson recently picked up a offer from NCAA D2 program Miles College (AL). Jackson currently has other offers on the table from Coker University (SC), Limestone College (SC), Johnson C Smith (NC) and William Penn (IA) (NAIA). Jackson a combo guard has a very quick shot release and rea;;y has a knack for scoring the ball.
Tonka HemingwayTonka Hemingway – Conway HS
Hemingway is a University of South Carolina football commit for next season. Hemingway a undersized post was named Region Player of the Year last season for the Tigers. All indications have Hemingway staying in school and playing hoops this season. Hemingway overpowers players in the paint with his great hands and footwork.
Timothy SteeleTimothy Steele – Conway HS
Steele is very deceptive out on the perimeter with his shooting of the ball. Steele prefers to play on the perimeter and really does have a nice looking shot. Steele and Hemingway will both look to lead the Tigers again this season.
Cameron SpainCameron Spain – Socastee HS
Spain will have to have a breakout season with several players departing from last seasons team. Spain 6’7 will be look to lead the Braves offense this season with Payton Lewis transferring to Moravian Prep (NC). Spain has the ability to step out and knockdown the 12-14 footer
Brian SparksBrian Sparks – South Florence HS
Sparks and Jackson have both been on the varsity for the past 4 years with the Bruins. Sparks 6’1 and Jackson will form the Bruins back court this coming season.
Jamal McDuffie – South Florence HS
McDuffie transferred into the Bruins this summer from nearby Florence Christian a SCISA program. McDuffie a wing will be a good addition to the Bruins roster and a 3rd option.
Shakeem WhiteShakeem and Shaquielle White – West Florence HS
Shakeem and Shaquille have no problems letting it fly from downtown for the Knights. The guard tandem will have more shots and looks this season in the offense.
Mason Garcia #33Mason Garcia – Carolina Forest HS (Myrtle Beach)
Garcia a East Carolina University football commit is having a big season on the gridiron. Garcia 6’5 will be with the Panthers after the North-South Football Game. Garcia plays Quarterback for the Panthers
Deondray Stanfield – St James HS (Murrells Inlet)
Stanfield a strong running back for the Sharks will be back on the hardwood this season. Stanfield prefers to attack the basket whenever given the chance. Stanfield play on the Grassroots circuit with Manzer.
