United Kansas Conference
Basehor-Linwood (21-3, 7-0), DeSoto (7-14, 4-2), Kansas City Turner (0-22, 0-9), Lansing (8-13), Leavenworth (10-13, 6-3), Shawnee Heights (13-10, 4-4)
Alex Mack, 6’2, G, 2020, Lansing
Mack has good size for a guard and brings a terrific all-around skill set. A left hander, he can handle the ball, run the point and shows good court vision. He has a smooth pull-up game off the bounce and is deadly in the mid-range game. An underrated performer, Mack will likely be among the conference’s top players this season.
Trevor McBride, 6’0, G, 2022, Basehor-Linwood @Trevor_McB15
McBride got significant varsity run as a freshman for a team that went 21-3 and advanced all the way to the state championship game last season. He shows smooth handles, has a crafty change of pace off the bounce and plays with a high basketball IQ. McBride has a quick shooting release from the perimeter and shot the ball with range from beyond the arc last season, but we see a player who will likely take on an even bigger scoring role for Basehor-Linwood this season and can put the ball in the basket from all three levels.
Kenyon Myers, 6’5, F, 2020, Leavenworth
A power forward style player for Leavenworth who has quick legs and gets up the floor in a hurry. He runs hard and looks to score in transition and in half court settings, using his 6’5 frame and overall build to find him position. He has a soft touch off the glass and is also a good shot blocker and basket protector.
Alan Robinson Jr., 6’3, G/F, 2020, Leavenworth
Robinson Jr has a big, athletic frame and covers a lot of space defensively. Known for his outside shooting, Robinson Jr has a smooth outside shooting stroke and has range well beyond the 3-point arc. He can defend on the perimeter, get in the passing lanes and disrupt opposing teams with his quickness.
Elijas Watson, 5’10, G, 2020, Shawnee Heights
Watson is a quick guard who has confidence and a smooth game. He has good handles and can win the one-on-one game around the wing and get to the basket and finish over stronger players who also have a height advantage. A strong player who can get to the basket and also get others the ball in a timely fashion.
Connor Younger, 5’11, G, 2020, Basehor-Linwood
A solid shooter from downtown who doesn;t need a lot of space to get his shots off. He can handle the ball and looks to move without it and get open. He comes off screens and look for open lanes and open spots on the floor where he can connect. Younger can also defend on the perimeter and has good speed as well.
