North Central
Abilene, Chapman, Clay Center, Concordia, Marysville, Wamego
Travis Beetch, 6’3, G, 2020, Abilene
Put together big offseason running with SSA Elite, Beetch is a lanky guard who has good size and overall feel for an up-and-down style game. He shot a high percentage from the floor and 3-point range over the summer and showed a toughness inside the paint and around the glass. An improved player and an interesting prospect.
Cooper Glavan, 6’1, F 2020, Clay Center
Averaged 7.7 points, 7.6 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.4 steals per game last season for the Tigers, Glavin is a hard-working player who looks to contribute on both sides of the floor. He is physical and looks for spacing and position inside. He goes after rebounds and can contest plays and come away with the ball when he’s locked in.
Tanner Hecht, 6’5, G, 2021, Wamego
Averaged 5.2 points and 3.2 rebounds last season but is looking to take his game to new heights this upcoming season as the Red Raiders will be looking to replace a big senior class. Hecht has the ability to score and will likely fit in nicely with the added responsibilities. He has good size and length and can connect from range and shows great effort and activity on defense as well.
Kel Stroud, 6’5, PF/C, 2020, Chapman
Also an elite football prospect, Stroud adds force and overall physicality to the paint in a fashion that’s hard to overlook. He has a lot of power and strength and good hands and impressive footwork as well. He goes for rebounds and can get clean-up baskets.
Taybor Vetter, 5’9, G, 2020, Wamego
Also a football standout, Vetter is coming off a strong junior season that saw him averaged 11.6 points, 2.1 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 2.2 steals per game and finished second on the Red Raiders with 29 3-pointers. A player who is likely to step into a larger role this season.
Wyatt Trost, 6’1, G, 2021, Concordia
Trost is a smart heady guard with good size and good court vision. Also the Concordia QB this fall, Trost runs the floor well, can shoot from the outside a little and has a nose for the ball. The Panthers’ leading returning scorer, Trost averaged 9.2 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game last season. With the graduation of Dyelan Reed and others, he will be counted on for a big junior season in 2019-20.
