Javion Byers, 6’2, G, 2021, Liberty, Team Yobo
Byers is an athletic guard who can get to the basket, shoot the 3 and shoot the mid-range jumper. He looks to pass to his teammates and plays strong defense both on the perimeter and during full court situations. Byers is a player who could have a big year.
Jordan McKinney, 5’10, G, 2020, Truman
McKinney is a strong, powerful guard who plays an unselfish game and passes well and can shoot for himself. He can get to the basket and has a creative handle and a flair for the game, able to make the spectacular pass or finish at the rim around bigger defenders. McKinney has a strong handle and defends the ball well from the top of the key.
Kendrick Stone, 6’2, G, 2021, Staley, Team, Yobo
Also a standout football player for Staley, Stone is a smooth guard who has good size for a guard and puts his team in a good position to succeed. He can create opportunities for his teammates with his dribbling and passing ability and can also score for himself if he has an opening.
Jonathan Thompson, 6’4, F, 2020, Park Hill South
An athletic player with who has quick hands and has good downhill momentum. Thompson looks to find space whenever he can and knows how to get shots off when there is little room to operate. He runs hard and can make plays with the ball in his hands. A physical player for the post and perimeter.
Max Whisner, 6’6, F, 2022, Lee’s Summit
He can defend well and looks to block shots and rebound when he’s in position. He keeps his eyes on the ball and is focused and a scoring threat when he’s in the zone. A physical player who comes with a football edge to him. He’s aggressive and ready to score and make plays.
