Big Seven
Hiawatha (11-11, 6-8), Holton (3-18, 3-11), Royal Valley (8-13, 6-8), Jefferson West (10-11, 7-7), Perry-Lecompton (21-3, 12-1), Sabetha (16-6, 12-2), Nemaha Central (16-7, 8-6), Riverside (4-16, 1-12)
Josh Broxterman, 6’2, G, 2021, Jefferson West
Broxterman is coming off a strong sophomore season at Jefferson West where he averaged a team-high 12 points along with 4.1 rebounds and 2.6 steals per game. He also led the Tigers with 36 3-pointers. While he can knock down open shots, Broxterman is also comfortable putting the ball on the floor and attacking the basket where he uses a variety of crafty moves to finish chances in the lane.
Blake Farmer, 6’7, F, 2020, Perry-Lecompton
Farmer is a big man with a well-rounded game and a versatile skill set. He averaged 13 points, 5.4 rebounds and shot 55 percent from the field. Farmer put together a strong offseason running with Grandstand Elite, and showed the ability to shoot from the outside, get on the boards, handle the ball a little and work hard in the post at both ends of the court.
Quinn Neuenswander, 6’5, G/F, 2020, Jefferson West
Neuenswander has terrific size and brings a strong, all-around game to the floor, able to handle the ball, play the point and score from all over the floor. He can play either guard spot, defend multiple positions and brings a big motor to the court. He put together a strong all-around season as a junior for the Tigers, averaging 10.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.5 steals per game.
Mason Thomas, 6’3, G/F, 2022, Royal Valley
Among the state’s most underrated prospects, Thomas is a rising sophomore wing player with a strong skill set and the ability to do a little bit of everything well. He has terrific court vision, able to see the floor and make spectacular passes as well as solid passes to open teammates. He can handle the ball a little, is a strong rebounder and can get out in the open floor in transition.
Nahcs Wahwassuck, 6’2, G, 2022, Royal Valley
Look for Wahwassuck to put together a break out sophomore season this year for Royal Valley after a strong showing as a freshman at the varsity level last year. He has good size and length, can handle the ball, score in a variety of ways, including a smooth, long range outside shot with range and a quick trigger from distance. He can also get on the boards, handle the ball and is capable of putting up points in bunches.
