2020 JaCobi Wood (Cleveland)
Top 10 player in the senior class, JaCobi is certainly familiar to fans and players statewide. Starting since his sophomore year for strong Cleveland High, Wood is absolutely a Mr. Basketball candidate in Class AAA. November has been more of the same as Wood continues to prove unstoppable. Signed to Belmont University.
2021 Dominiq Penn (Hamilton Heights Christian Academy)
Fantastic hops. Silly explosive. Improving rapidly under the guidance of HHCA Head Coach Zach Ferrell. Penn intends to compete as a post-grad next winter with Hamilton Heights.
2021 Isaiah Farrior (Clarksville Northeast)
A high-scoring 6-2 guard, Isaiah Farrior is ridiculously explosive. He does a large majority of his scoring by getting to the rim and scoring or getting to the free throw line. After putting up big numbers at Northwest, he should thrive in a more up-tempo system at Northeast. Farrior’s performance at the PrepHoopsTN Fall Combine glittered among other notable players. Even paired with and against starters from around middle Tennessee, Farrior stood out as athletic and rim-hungry. His outside shot needs improvement, but there are few flaws to his offensive game.
Bill Eads showed top shooting touch twice in the last 40 days.2020 Bill Eads (Fairvew)
The sharpshooter torched Nolensville during Whites Creek’s PlayDay. New NHS Head Coach John Stigall appeared frustrated by the looks Eads earned. They were disappointingly easy looks. Eads needs very little space to get his deadly shot off. The senior craftily finds pockets in the defense and Fairview High runs nice, simple plays to get Eads open looks.
2023 Jaylen Jones (East Nashville)
Younger brother of Isaiah Jones, Jaylen is locked in as a freshmanfreshman starter on perennial power East Nashville Lit. Amazing grace with the ball. Poised beyond his years.
Harrington is bouncy at guard2020 Zoryn Harrington (Blackman)
Zoryn waited his turn for Blackman. That turn is now and his athletic gifts are difficult to match. Blackman features a veteran team with Jalen Page as the presumed leading scorer and transfer Ray Tyler joining the fun. Zoryn is a handful, as evidenced by his fantastic dominance at the Riverdale PlayDay early November. Hillwood had no answers for the combo guard. He could have scored 20 alone, but Blackman didn’t need Page or Harrington be all they could be. The win was convincing without either really playing their ultimate best.
