Unknowns and Undervalued

As we continue our march towards the start of the high school season, we take a look at some players who made a preseason splash.


2020 JaCobi Wood (Cleveland)

Top 10 player in the senior class, JaCobi is certainly familiar to fans and players statewide.  Starting since his sophomore year for strong Cleveland High, Wood is absolutely a Mr. Basketball candidate in Class AAA.  November has been more of the same as Wood continues to prove unstoppable. Signed to Belmont University.


2021 Dominiq Penn (Hamilton Heights Christian Academy)

Fantastic hops.  Silly explosive.  Improving rapidly under the guidance of HHCA Head Coach Zach Ferrell.  Penn intends to compete as a post-grad next winter with Hamilton Heights.  


2021 Isaiah Farrior (Clarksville Northeast)

A high-scoring 6-2 guard, Isaiah Farrior is ridiculously explosive.  He does a large majority of his scoring by getting to the rim and scoring or getting to the free throw line. After putting up big numbers at Northwest, he should thrive in a more up-tempo system at Northeast.  Farrior's performance at the PrepHoopsTN Fall Combine glittered among other notable players.  Even paired with and against starters from around middle Tennessee, Farrior stood out as athletic
