Carson Ryan (2020) | 6-4 SG | Struthers
Ryan is capable of scoring from all three levels. He has the strength and athleticism to score in traffic via contested shots. Handles the ball with pace and plays with balance in the lane. A threat to shoot it from outside, he also uses that threat to set-up his dribble-drive game.
Zach Rasile (2020) | 6-0 SG | McDonald
Rasile is a stat-sheet mogul, averaging 36.0 points per game as a junior while breaking the state’s all-time record for 3-pointers in a career. He has a chance to join Jon Diebler as the only other player in Ohio history to score 3,000 career points, as he enters senior year over the 2,000-point threshold. The West Liberty commit routinely drills 3-point shots from ridiculous range. Rasile has experience against box-and-ones and face-guard tactics. Additionally, McDonald reached a district semifinal last year and they should be one of the area’s top Division IV teams once again.
Roderick Coffee (2022) | 6-3 SG | Harvey
Reaching Division II Honorable Mention as a freshman, Coffee is the most enticing college recruit in the area already. Coffee, a go-to scorer, led Harvey to a no. 3 seed in the Ashtabula district last season and it’s only up from there as he continues improving.
Coffee’s biggest asset is his jumper. He hits smooth pull-ups after separation moves. His size and quickness opens up space in one-on-one situations. After impressing against high-level competition this summer, he comes into his sophomore year with offers from Arkansas Little-Rock, UT-Martin, and Youngstown State.
Derrick Anderson (2020) | 5-11 PG | Boardman
Anderson, the returning AAC Player of the Year, comes back ready to defend Boardman’s league title after going 10-0 in-conference last season. Most of their contributors return, equipping the dynamic point guard with a series of weapons. He’s a quick playmaker who applies pressure on both ends of the floor. Anderson has good speed, a handle, and his experience with these teammates gives him almost a second-nature feel of the offense.
Todd Simons (2021) | 6-1 SG | Austintown Finch
Simons did it all for Finch last season as their leading scorer and rebounder. He also tied the single-game scoring record with 52 points in a game against East. The versatile guard will look to flip their losing record as a junior.
