The PrepHoopsTN Team of the Week
Point Guard
Ryley McClaran (Eagleville, 2020) Fifty!
Jason Coleman (Memphis Overton, 2020) New team. Coleman helped his team split two games with 30 points Tuesday followed by 31 points Friday. Overton pounded Sheffield and dropped an overtime game to McGavock.
Combo Guard
Grant Slatten (White County, 2021) Incredibly active and springy junior scorer Slatten put in 37 points and 36 points in two victories. Slatten is currently ranked #12 in the state.
Wings
Johnathan Lawson (Wooddale, 2021) The State Champion is making a case for Mr. Basketball. Wooddale really has a chance for a second consecutive state crown if Lawson and transfer Jalen Brown continue to play this well.
Isaiah Jones (East Nashville, 2021) scored 20+ in two separate games. Two wins for a completely new roster and a brand new head coach. Isaiah is ready to soar as a junior Eagle. His younger brother isn’t bad either (Jaylen Jones).
Frontcourt
Michael Houge (Chattanooga Christian, 2020).
Dalton Marsh (Red Boiling Springs, 2020) Dalton beats up on double and triple teams nightly. The forward put up 39 points, 11 rebounds against KIPP and 26-13 against Smith County. Marsh scored 15 points and pulled down 12 rebounds against Community High in a loss. Signed to Missouri Western State University.
Mason Miller (Houston, 2021) Two wins for one of the best teams in the state, Houston High. Mason helped defeat Mitchell High and Olive Branch (MS).
