Pender HS 2020 Guard Jajuan Carr & 2022 Jakwon Moore: College coaches at the Mid-Major level have dropped in to see Carr over the last year and rightfully so. He has a gift to really score the ball which was on full display last season as he averaged over 20 PPG and will most likely have more of a scoring role this year. His running mate will be 2022 Jakwon Moore who is a player that will have an opportunity to make a name for himself this season as Pender has lost multiple players that were rotational guys due to graduation.
Topsail HS 2020 Guard Jamison Long & 2022 Bradley Wolf: Truly a sleeper duo, they will wake up quite a few with their play this season as both players have been putting in a nice amount of work in the offseason. Long has the ability to score the ball from the perimeter as well as getting pass his man off the bounce, while Wolf is a 6’8 big that is still finding his way on the court but has plenty of upside.
Dixon HS 2021 Guard Logan Hubbard & 2020 Everett Lewis: Both players have a very nice IQ for the game but bring different attributes that makes them legit next level prospects. Lewis is an athletic player that can score the ball in bunches, don’t be surprised to see him make plays above the rim on both ends of the floor. Hubbard is more of a floor general, you will see him score on occasion but for the most part he’s looking to get others involved, using his IQ and passing skills to come up with assist.
Grace Christian 2020 Guard Phil Martin & Jonah Murr: Although this will be their first season sharing the court, we fully expect this duo to turn plenty of heads and have a big time season. Martin showed out at the recent ENC FAB 40 Camp, scoring the ball at a high level and being one of the leading scorers in a loaded event. Murr had a productive season last year for GCS averaging 14 PPG and will look to take more of a leadership role as the team has lost multiple players to graduation.
High Point Christian 2021 Guard KJ Garrett & 2020 Guard Landon Sutton: This backcourt works together very well as the two are both legit college prospects that bring something totally different to the game. Garett is a Pass first PG, he does a nice job of getting into the gaps of the defense and making plays for others. Sutton is a knock down shooter that has shown his ability to knock down shots regardless of whatever type of defense is thrown on him.
