With minimal success as a team in past years Cameron hopes to start a new trend at Taylorsville High School. Averaging 15 points a game while most teams are game planning against you is impressive on it’s own. With a few contributing underclassmen Cameron looks to increase his production in rebounds and assist as he looks to get other involved. “Last year I learned hoe to be a leader from all the experience that I gained playing in close games. We also made a positive culture change last year that has given us more confidence as a team.”
Cameron is looking forward to the start of the season. “I’m looking forward to competing for a Region Championship and having a shot at the playoffs.”
With a successful Spring, Summer and Fall, Cameron has picked up an offer from Central Wyoming and is getting interest from D2 schools. Being able to run the point, off guard and wing has been the reason schools have shown interest. Cameron has a high ceiling on the court and he has excelled academically with a 3.6 GPA with a 28 ACT which has intrigued many high academic programs.
In Region 2 Taylorsville will have a shot at competing for a title. Cameron is willing to do what it takes to get them there. Look for Cameron to lead his team to more wins than they’ve had in years past.
