JaQuaveon Venable – Henderson Collegiate – Guard
Venable is quite the defender for this Henderson Collegiate squad and is slowly finding his way as a shooter from anywhere on the floor. As he adjusts to his role in the rotation, he’s a prospect that should turn some heads with what he can do on the floor.
Javonte Waverly – Henderson Collegiate – Guard
Waverly is a do-it-all guard for the Henderson Collegiate Pride. He sets the tone on their press on defense and is quite the passer for this squad. He was one of the top performers this past weekend with his ability to create chaos on defense and make plays on offense. He’s beginning to gain traction with some mid-major programs and should have a breakout junior campaign.
Nick Green – Henderson Collegiate – Guard
Green is a lethal shooter you don’t want to leave open on the perimeter. He’s got nice strength for his size at 6-foot-3 that allows him to shift the defense and get up shots with efficiency. Keep an eye out for him to really boost this team’s 3-point shooting.
Akhiris Holden – Henderson Collegiate – Wing/Guard
Holden is a long, versatile prospect at 6-foot-4 that should be quite the rim protector for this squad. He does well to protect the paint and the rim on defense using his length to block shots without fouling. On offense, he flies to the rim and finishes with authority whenever he can. He’s another prospect to watch on a stacked squad.
Davon Allen – Henderson Collegiate – Wing/Forward
Allen is due for a strong season in the Henderson Collegiate frontcourt with his high motor and prowess on the glass. At 6-foot-3, he’s got quite the wingspan that allows him to play both inside and out. He’ll be an X-Factor on the interior for them with his ability to play in the paint.
Charles Stinson – Hickory Grove Christian – Guard
Stinson was quite the sharpshooter at the Phenom Hoops Jamboree in the Hickory Grove Christian backcourt alongside A.J. Smith. He’ll take a ton of pressure off Smith this season with his ability to space the floor and knock down outside shots as he did this past weekend.
A.J. Smith – Hickory Grove Christian – Guard
Smith is a physically imposing guard prospect at 6-foot-4 that can score from anywhere on the floor as he did at the Phenom Hoops Jamboree. He’s a strong defender for this group whose offense has really come along this past spring/summer. He’ll be a prospect college coaches will want to keep eyes on in 2019-20. He averaged 25.2 points and 6.3 rebounds per game last season.
Omarion Bodrick – Independence – Forward
Bodrick was impressive on both ends for Independence High School at the Phenom Hoops Jamboree. He’s a prospect with tons of length in his wheelhouse at 6-foot-7 that he uses well to protect the rim on defense and play above the rim on offense. He’ll be a name to know this season in the state and already holds offers from North Carolina A&T, Rider, USC Upstate, Charleston Southern and Winthrop already.
Jalen Hinton – Independence – Guard
Hinton isn’t the biggest guard at 5-foot-9, but he makes up for it with his ability to create off the dribble on all three levels as he did this past weekend. Look for him to be a solid contributor in the backcourt this season with his speedy moves and high IQ for scoring the basketball.
Darrius Davis – Moravian Prep – Guard/Wing
Davis is a big prospect at 6-foot-4 that uses his size and strength well on both ends to make things happen for Moravian Prep’s National team. He has an unstoppable motor on both ends that allows him to wreak havoc on the floor. He’s going to be hard to keep off the glass for opponents and continues to develop his game as a three-level scorer.
Parker Grant – Moravian Prep – Guard
Grant is a guard prospect whose confidence is slowly growing as a slasher on Moravian Prep’s Regional squad. He gets to the rim with his quick first step with relative ease and takes a lot of pressure off fellow guards Kam Thompson and Hamilton Campbell. He’s an underrated athlete that coaches should get out and see this season.
Glynn Hubbard III – Northside Christian – Guard
Hubbard is a growing name on the recruiting trail at Northside Christian. At 6-foot-3, he’s quite the combo guard with his ability to play above the rim and finish strong in the paint. He’s a lefty that does well to get to his spots on the floor off the dribble to make things happen. UAB, Florida Atlantic and Samford have offered already.
