Javon Floyd – Calvary Day School – Forward
Floyd was an intriguing prospect in the paint for Calvary Day School that showed his prowess as a back to the basket threat and an emerging shooter. He’s one piece in their frontcourt that’s due for a strong junior season.
Christian Cornish – Central Cabarrus – Guard/Wing
Cornish was a versatile prospect for Central Cabarrus that showed off his ability to get to the rim and finish. He did well in their backcourt alongside 2020 Zachary Bessette to pace some of the scoring load on offense at the Phenom Hoops Jamboree.
Dylan Steed – Central Cabarrus – Guard
Steed was another player in Central Cabarrus backcourt that did some good things, especially behind the perimeter as a sharpshooter. He’s a quick guard at 6-foot with an opportunity to play a solid role for their squad in 2019-20.
Trae Benham – Concord First Assembly – Guard
Benham is a guard with a strong frame at 6-foot-3 that allows him to do a little bit of everything in the backcourt. He stood out for Concord First Assembly with his ability to attack the rim and make things happen with the ball in his hands.
Javian Cannady – Concord First Assembly – Guard
Cannady is an explosive 6-foot-1 guard prospect that turned heads with his play at the rim. He had a poster dunk among other things as an aggressive slasher for Concord First Assembly. He’s a prospect worth getting a look at by college programs.
Toby Harris – Durham Academy – Wing
Harris is a lethal sharpshooter from behind the arc that’s slowly finding his confidence on the floor. As he figures out his role and learns to use his size at 6-foot-5 to be a factor on the glass, he’s a prospect with room to grow as a solid target for colleges at the next level.
Cole Sinclair – Durham Academy – Guard
Sinclair is a three-level scoring guard that can run the point and find his own offense off the bounce. He’s another player that’s figuring out his role with 2022 guard M.J. Rice on the floor. On defense, he’s a gritty player that pressures the ball and does well to limit opponents’ opportunities.
Keeyan Itejere – GRACE Christian – Wing/Forward
Itejere showed off his emerging aggression with the ball in his hands at the Phenom Hoops Jamboree. He can get to the rim and finish with authority and stretch the defense with his outside shooting. He’s due for a strong season in the frontcourt alongside Wake Forest commit Jaylon Gibson.
Jamarii Thomas – Piedmont Classical – Guard
Thomas is a prospect due for a breakout season at Piedmont Classical in the 2021 class. He showed off his ability to defend, make plays and play above the rim this past weekend. As his team finds their chemistry, look for Thomas to emerge as one of the top floor generals in the class.
Mike Dudley Jr. – United Faith Christian Academy – Wing/Guard
Dudley is a high-flying prospect at 6-foot-5 that can also fill it up from behind the arc. He’s a prospect with nice size and length that should create mismatch problems for opposing defenders with his ability to get to the rim. He’ll be one prospect to track in the 2021 class.
Cedric Patterson – United Faith Christian – Guard
Patterson is a new face at United Faith Christian that should take some pressure off Josh Massey and company with his ability to fill it up on all three levels. He can score at volume off the catch and off the dribble and is a speedy guard that’s hard to stay in front of. Look for him to contribute mightily to their success in 2019-20.
