Though plenty of OSSAA teams have already started their 2019 schedule, tonight will be the first night of the season with action in Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Enid, Sand Springs and more!
Check out some of the games to watch below (games covered by Prep Hoops staff are denoted in orange):
(6A) Bixby at Union / 8 p.m.
Seth Chargois→ Seth Chargois and the Union Redskins host the up-and-coming talents of Bixby. Xavier Glenn and the up-and-coming talents of Parker Friedrichsen and Luke Hasz will look to play the early-season spoilers on Union’s 2019-2020 campaign. Zach Cobler (@Zbc7) will be in the gym for Prep Hoops Oklahoma.
(6A) Ponca City at Sand Springs / 8 p.m.
Davon Richardson→ There isn’t much not to like about this one, folks; a big-time matchup between two rising inside stars in Jaeden Hurd and Luke Seals as well as the spectacle of Central Oklahoma-commit Davon Richardson opening his senior season. Bryce McKinnis (@McKinnisBryce) will be in the gym for Prep Hoops Oklahoma.
(6A) Putnam City at Enid / 7:30 p.m.
KD Jolly→ Kendural Jolly, along with his supporting staff that includes swingman N’Kozi Harris, will look to set a precedent on opening night that last year’s 6A State Tournament appearance was not a fluke, but a testament to Jolly’s leadership skills and the Pirates’ ability to handle adversity. Jolly’s senior season will be a must-watch campaign as the 5-foot-9-inch point guard vies to establish himself among the all-time greats at Putnam City. We also heard the Pirates will be revealing new uniforms. . .
(5A) Bishop Kelley at East Central / 7:30 p.m.
(5A) Santa Fe South at Capitol Hill / 7:30 p.m.
(4A) Harding Charter at (3A) Riverside Indian / 7 p.m.
(3A) Okmulgee at (4A) Catoosa / 8 p.m.
(3A) Millwood at (4A) Heritage Hall / 7:30 p.m.
Trey Alexander→ The matchup between State-Runners-Up will start at 7:30 tonight at the McClendon Activity Center as both teams tip-off their seasons tonight. All eyes will be on Trey Alexander as he beings his junior campaign, but don’t forget Myles Jeffries and the Millwood Falcons. The Falcons finished 25-4 last season, with two of those losses coming to Heritage Hall — the latter, a 72-65 overtime thriller. Ross Lovelace (@Rosslovelace) will be in the gym for us in the rematch.
(A) Frontier at Garber / 8 p.m.
(B) Duke at Big Pasture / 8 p.m.
Jameson Richardson→ Everybody is looking forward to seeing Abeline-Christian signee Jameson Richardson continue his senior campaign tonight. The Tigers are already 3-0 with an average 37.7 point advantage over their adversary.
