There are chances to see some great players no matter what game you go to in conference. Here are some of the top players that stand out from the rest.
Lance Ware (2020) | 6’9 PF | Camden
Ware is currently ranked 43rd in ESPN’s top 100 players in the class of 2020. He is right now ranked second in New Jersey. Ware, a Kentucky commit, averaged 11.7 points and 10 rebounds per game last season for Camden. Rick Brunson is the new head coach for Camden. Ware has a chance to learn from a nine-year NBA player who has assisted on multiple teams in his coaching career. Ware is an extremely athletic player who possess skills that a typical 6’9 forward does not. He will be the No. 1 must watch player this season in the Olympic Conference and one of the top players in the state.
David Cross (2020) | 5’9 PG | Bishop Eustace
Cross was a bright spot on Bishop Eustace last season. The point guard made up for what he lacked in size in quickness. Cross showed his ability to score but also be a great passer. He had a 14 point, 14 assists game in a winning effort over Egg Harbor early in the season. True point guards who can score and assist are invaluable on a high school basketball court and Cross is one of those players.
Gavin Gibson (2020) | 6’4 SG | Cherokee
Gibson was one of the most consistent scorers in the conference last season. He scored in double-figures in all but six games last season. He scored a season high 25 points in a loss to Wildwood Catholic. At 6’4, Gibson has the size to be a dominant scorer and that will be on display during his senior season.
Noah Klinewski (2020) | 6’2 PG | Eastern
Eastern won 21 games a season ago and Klinewski led them in most of them. He scored in double-figures in all but one game last season. Klinewski has been a model of consistency during his time at Eastern. He will have a chance to be one of the best scorers in the conference in 2019-2020.
Demetrius Paynter (2020) | 6’6 PF | Timber Creek
Paynter was leaned on a lot last season when Timber Creek graduated some key seniors. He picked up the slack and proved that he can lead a team on the offensive end. Paynter is forward who has great ability to score on the low post and be a rim protector on defense. This year, Paynter will take the next step as a scorer and a defender. It will be interesting to see how his game matures as a senior.
