Trent Dielman 6’8 C Bishop Gorman 2020 – If ever the term big shoes to fill was appropriate, Dielman’s situation was it. All he has to do is replace the #1 Senior in the state and the #2 Sophmore. If that wasn’t difficult enough he has to do that for a team that has National Championship aspirations. Reality is he’s not going to be Cottrell or Allen, but he can play the role of a serviceable big that can contribute in spots for the Champs
Alijah Banks 5’8 PG Canyon Springs 2020 – Banks is a player that has a chance to make the next rankings list. A high IQ defensive first team leader, he’s going to contribute for Canyon this season. This team has the talent for a big season, and Banks can be one of the key contributors.
Rudger Welch 5’10 PG Foothill 2020 – Every team needs shooting and Welch can certainly do that. He combined with his brother Fisher should give the Falcons a nice 1-2 punch from outside.
Isaiah Profit 5’10 PG Cimarron 2020 – I’ve said it many times. There are only two types of players, guys that can play and guys that can’t. Profit falls into the category of those that can. Really the main reason why he didn’t make the most recent list is because Cimarron will probably be playing Point Guard by committee. However, Profit has the kind of skill – set the gives him the chance to stand out. Lighting quick PG with a great handle, I expect him to make an impact this season.
Michael Martin 6’2 PF Spring Valley 2020 (featured image)– One of the toughest players pound for pound in the state. Martin is loved by his teammates for his role of glue guy and team leader. He has a great knack for scoring around the basket. If Spring Valley has a successful season, expect Martin to be a big part of it.
Gavin Balistere 6’0 PG Boulder City 2020 – Some players are extensions of their coach, Balistere is a literal one. The scrappy guard is a defensive stopper expected to help Boulder City as they chase a state title. Coach’s son with an exceptional IQ Balistere may be the key to a successful run for BC.
