Bryson Tatum (Urbana – 2020)
Tatum is a broad shouldered 6’2” two guard that plays bigger than his height with his strength and length. Powerful slasher that uses his physicality around the rim. Had a sweet give and go finish. Also shot it from three knocking down a pair from deep. Quality perimeter defender that can check all three perimeter positions at the high school level. Went for 13 points.
Christopher Cross (Urbana – 2020)
Cross is a crafty left handed 6’2” senior wing that makes tough layups in the paint. He has a feel for scoring with creativity at the rim. Solid rebounder from his wing spot. He had 8 points.
Mario Turner (Urbana – 2021)
Turner put his name on the map in this one scoring 15 points. The 6’1” junior guard was a plus shooter from the perimeter knocking in three triples. Also had a nice coast to coast take in his big game.
Jeremiah Hamilton (Urbana – 2021)
Hamilton only scored 4 points, but we came away intrigued with his upside as a prospect. At 6’7” he has long arms and mobility in the paint. Shot blocking presence and showed flashes on the glass getting a put back. One to track long term.
Michael Nowak (Lake Forest Academy – 2022)
Nowak emerged this week for LFA as a shooting threat. When several of their higher ranked 2022 prospects didn’t have great weeks it was Nowak who made an impression. The 6’4” wing is a plus shooter off the catch from three and also hit a baseline jumper for his 11 points.
Shaedon Simpson (Lake Forest Academy – 2022)
Simpson had a solid week for LFA. It might not show in his scoring production, but there is a lot to like here as a prospect. The sophomore has a long and rangy frame at 6’4” which helps him on the defensive end. Extremely active player that has a nose for the basketball. Good rebounder for a wing. Capable shooter from deep.
Jake Wolf (Lake Forest Academy – 2021)
Wolf stands at 6’8” with the ability to anchor on the block. Sound post moves and has decent mobility. Pounds the offensive glass for put backs.
